Yamaha Motor PH launches PG-1
Priced at P96,400
MANILA: Following the invitation posted over Facebook, Yamaha Motor Philippines (YMPH)has officially launched the PG-1 nameplate in the country.
The aforementioned offering is designed to meet the needs of those who are into adventurous riding who wanted to break away from the confines of daily living.
YMPH’s newest underbone offering stand 1,980 millimeters (mm) long; 805 mm wide; and 1,050 mm tall — with a 795-mm seat height, 1,280-mm wheelbase, and has a minimum ground clearance of 190 mm. Its fuel tank has a capacity of 5.1 liters. Its overall weight is 107 kilograms.
The Japanese motorcycle marque’s dual-sport two-wheeler features a neo-retro look, complemented by rounded head- and taillights, analog cluster gauge, dual seats, knobby 16-inch wheels wrapped in 90/100 tires, and smooth-edged grab rails.
Powering the motorcycle is a four-stroke, single overhead cam, two-valve, air-cooled, 114 cubic-centimeter engine mated four-speed semi-automatic transmission. On paper, the said set-up produces 8.8 horses and 9.5 Newton-meters of torque.
Its stopping power comes from front hydraulic single disc and rear mechanical leading trailing drum brakes while absorbing shocks are the front telescopic fork and rear swingarm suspensions.
Available in sole Matte Brown, the Yamaha PG-1 is priced at P96,400.
Relatedly, the public can check out and test ride the motorcycle at the Yamaha Explorer’s Camp event at Bridgetowne Open Grounds in Pasig City tomorrow (Saturday, May 25) starting 3 p.m.-10 p.m.
