Lexus LC Convertible

On the inside, the Lexus LC Convertible might not be too futuristic as it is on the outside. However, it looks plush and super luxurious, with the asymmetric design for the dashboard catching one’s fancy very much.

The car gets a theater-like curved arrangement for the whole dashboard, which gets a full TFT-instrument console behind a regular-looking three-spoke multi-functional and fully electrically adjustable steering wheel. The neatly tucked-in rectangular wide touchscreen infotainment system looks nice along with a small rounded analog clock to its side. Other elements like a perforated design for the passenger side of the dashboard panel, brushed aluminium accents on door panels and dashboard, and a wide center console with minimalist buttons for climate control looks very finely done.

The cabin has got a plethora of features like 8-way power-adjustable seats with memory, heating and ventilation, dual-zone automatic climate control, smart keyless go, Lexus Climate Concierge, Mark Levinson Surround sound system with 13 speakers, and more. However, the car is best suitable for two people only, with the rear seats feeling cramped and best only for kids.

The Lexus LC Convertible might have been in the market for quite a long time now, but even now, the design feels fresh and futuristic. The aggressive front and rear ends of the Lexus LC Convertible make it a total attention grabber.

The front profile of the Lexus LC Convertible looks unique with a large and very-Lexus like the spindle-themed grille, which gets a chrome finish at the bottom and diamond-shaped inserts within it. The headlamps look swanky too, with their wishbone-like design which stretches down to the bottom and has an all-LED arrangement with boomerang-shaped daytime running LEDs. 

The Lexus LC Convertible has a very smooth design when viewed from the sides. The chrome-bathed 21-inch forged alloy wheels look drop-dead gorgeous, and the muscular design for the rear fender makes it look like a proper sports car from the future. The two-door design with door-mounted rearview mirrors is the main design highlight here.

At the back, the Lexus LC Convertible has a unique design too, much like that on front. The wishbone design for the headlamps has been carried out for the LED tail lamps as well, with vertical extensions flowing down from its outer lower edge. The X-themed design for the rear bumper, chrome surrounds for the partitioned exhaust ports and curved integrated spoiler adds to the visual drama of the car at the rear.

Thanks to the well-crafted aerodynamic design and plush setup of multi-links at both front and rear, the Lexus LC Convertible feels very comfortable to drive. The two-door car is in its right element on open-top highways, with its openable rooftop adding to the overall motoring experience very exquisitely.

Powering the Lexus LC Convertible is a 5.0-litre naturally aspirated V8 petrol engine under its hood, which makes it the only naturally aspirated engine in its category. The engine is paired to a 10-speed automatic gearbox and sends power to the rear wheels only. It makes a maximum power output of 470 bhp and a peak torque output of 540 Nm. The top speed of the car is marked at 270 kmph, and it can do 0-100 kmph in 4.7 seconds.

The Lexus LC Convertible gets a range of safety features as standard, such as eight airbags, blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, a rearview camera with guidelines, hill assist, front and rear park assist, tire pressure monitoring system, ABS with EBD, traction control and vehicle stability control.

Keeping its heft price aside, the Lexus LC Convertible is one high-end car that definitely is one car that needs special mention. While its performance is not as exhilarating as other two-door cars in its price range, it feels plush and elegant, with its unique design and ultra-premium cabin reasons enough to sign the dotted line for it.
