• About Peugeot Philippines

  Peugeot is a French manufacturer that started its roots with coffee mills and spice grinders for more than 170 years. It is believed to be one of the world’s oldest companies which marked with humble beginnings towards the success of what it is today.

  In 1889, it showcased the first Peugeot-branded automobile powered by steam at the World Fair in Paris. Alongside the motor vehicle, it also manufactured bicycles and motorcycles that transported the French population to and from work on a daily basis.

  In the 1930s, the Peugeot brand established itself as a mass-brand manufacturer and started the principle of calling their models with a three-digit number with a zero in the middle. The most notable models popular during the day were the 2 and 4 offering a great deal of aerodynamics and modernisation we’ve come to know in cars of today such as the unibody construction and the frugality of a diesel-fed motor. Other inventions include the first electric folding steel roof among its convertible models in 1935.

  The company also ventured success into the motorsport community since the infancy of its time as the brand had always showcased their reliability and endurance prowess to include several rally races since the 1960s and the famous 24 Hours of Le Mans in the 1930s until today.

  In the Philippines, Peugeot is officially imported and distributed by Eurobrands Distributor Inc. (EDI). Operations began in November 2012 and since then have managed to slot itself as one of the country’s most promising European automotive manufacturers. 

  Currently, the French automaker offers models including the 3008 Compact Crossover, 5008 MPV, Expert Tepee family van, 508 midsize sedans, RC-Z sports coupe, and 208 GTi.
