CFMoto 300SR Design
The 2024 CFMoto 300SR is a stunner. It looks like a high-end sports bike that’s capable of scorching the race track. Zhejiang Chunfeng always comes up with hugely attractive-looking bikes and the 2024 CFMoto 300SR is another product in that league. The two-wheeler sports a sharply designed front-end that comprises of an LED headlight along with daytime running lights (DRLs). The front gets a 37mm upside-down fork, sleek and angular side fairings, and a factory-fitted decal kit that enhances the overall look of the 2024 CFMoto 300SR. The bike’s rear and side compliment the aggressive-looking fascia with a sharp and angular design. Not only the aggressive styling, other exterior bits of the bike forge a more expensive look than it actually is. The DRLs in the front and the LED taillight highlights the bike’s road presence. The cockpit gets a 5.0-inch full-colour TFT instrument panel. The 2024 CFMoto 300SR is certainly an overachiever in the looks department. It’s easy to mistake the 300SR for a Kawasaki or a Honda. The only downside is the plastic-covered tank. It makes a creaking noise when pushed down. But it’s not noticeable when the two-wheeler is stationary. The bike comes with a decent electronic package that’s hard to get from Japanese manufacturers at this price point.
300SR Ride & Handling
While the rest of the bike looks aggressive, the sitting position on the 2024 CFMoto 300SR is actually very comfortable. The saddle weeps down a bit, making the 780mm seat height approachable for al riders. The rear-set foot pegs are set higher to lend a semi-aggressive stance. The clip-on handlebar is set higher and allows a forward-lean but relaxed driving position. The saddle is nicely padded and riding two hours nonstop is not a problem. After that, it may get a bit tiresome. The suspension is a bit on the softer side. On twisty roads, the 2024 CFMoto 300SR feels more at home, courtesy the 37mm upside-down front forks and the rear monoshock absorber.
CFMoto 300SR Engine & Fuel Consumption
The 2024 CFMoto 300SR is equipped with a liquid-cooled, single-cylinder, 292cc engine that produces 29 PS maximum power and 26 Nm peak torque. The motor is mated to a six-speed transmission. The powertrain doesn’t have the oomph expected from a true-blue sports bike. But the bike is entertaining to ride. It moves cheerfully and the transmission is slick and seamless. At a dry weight of only 160 kg, the 2024 CFMoto 300SR is a fairly lightweight bike in its class. The narrow tyres up the bike’s agility and the rider is encouraged to rev the engine. Despite technically being a sub 300cc motorcycle, the engine is quite compliant and low-speed manoeuvres aren’t very demanding. There’s also an adequate wave of top-end grunt that helps in quick overtakes.
300SR Braking & Safety
The brakes of the 2024 CFMoto 300SR feels a bit hard initially. But they do a great job to stop the lightweight sports bike, courtesy the 292mm and 220mm disc brakes at the front and back respectively. The tyres have nice traction and there’s no chance of skidding even at a high speed.
CFMoto 300SR Verdict
At a starting price of ₱165,000, the 2024 CFMoto 300SR is among the most affordable bikes in its segment. The build quality is good but the finishing should have been better. Being lightweight, the bike is easy to handle. It’s not meant for track racing though. But the CFMoto 300SR is a sports-commuting bike that serves a dual-purpose, including some casual racing. The price of course is the clincher for those looking for value for money.
