Quite a few problems
I live in China and chose this motorcycle because Japanese bikes are three times the price they should be, it's styled by Kiska thanks to a KTM partnership and the engine is basically a Chinese made ER6N. After 7,000kms of daily riding here's the good, the bad and the ugly. The good: - Looks good - Paint is good - Comes with panniers - Comes with a USB and 12v output - KYB shocks, but the cheapest version - Bosch ECU and injectors - Juan brakes with continental ABS The bad -Chain and sprockets are terrible, replaced after 5,000kms and again at 6,500 with AFAM sprockets and DID VX3 chain - windscreen rattles and vibrates, solved by replacing it with an aftermarket upgrade - fuel economy is nowhere near claimed range, you'll never see the figures stated - almost no aftermarket support - brakes aren't sufficient, you'll need to make upgrades - fixtures and fittings aren't anywhere near JDM spec - customer service in China is horrible, mechanics are poorly trained. They cause more issues than they solve. The ugly - cylinder head assembly needed replacing after 5,500kms. Covered under warranty. - clutch bearing and clutch both need replacing at 7,000kms - exhaust manifold gaskets need replacing at 7,000kms - Chinese mechanics and dealership servicing is completely woeful - ECU needed to be sent back to the factory for reflashing, took 12 days. My advice, if you have a choice get a Japanese motorcycle. Only buy these if you're on a budget or have no other reasonable choice. Thanks for reading.
Service CenterTerrible experience, they refuse to do anything that requires any real work. No help with parts and they refuse to admit there are problems with the motorcycle. Always having to argue with them and at one point had to compare the same model to have them finally admit an issue Completely unhelpful.
