Kawasaki Ninja 300 Review 2024
The Kawasaki Ninja 300 is designed to quench the thirst for speed and performance for the motorcycle enthusiasts who keep their daily drag races to highways and open roads only. The Ninja 300 is one of the smaller brothers in the Ninja family but adopts similar sporty fully faired styling.
The Kawasaki Ninja 300 has a 296cc engine with the genes that the company has been using in all the bikes in the series to extract beastly power. But apart from this, there are many other factors that make this small displacement bike a real sporty option in the segment. It goes up against the likes of the Yamaha R3 and the bigger displacement KTM RC 390.
Kawasaki Ninja 300 Design
The Kawasaki Ninja 300 is nothing short of a sports bike despite having a low displacement. The full fairing is designed to be the utmost aerodynamic and cuts through the air with absolute ease.
At the front, the dual headlamps offer great illumination and are sharply sculpted into a beast-eye design. The wind visor up front is tall and keeps the wind-blasting deflected off the rider’s face. The tank section is very sculpted and allows the riders to lean onto the corners with the elbows packed while holding on to the clip-on handlebars.
The most recent updates on the motorcycle (for 2018) has seen the company add new colour options and newer graphics. The split seat for the pillion is a little small but has adequate comfort and cushioning.
Ninja 300 Ride & Handling
The 2018 Kawasaki Ninja 300 is in line with rest of the big bikes in the Ninja series and oozes class and vigour in the engine department. It is one of the most refined motorcycles in the segment and goes head-to-head with the Yamaha YZF R3 due to its outright power.
The engine loves to be revved hard on the open roads and highways while grunting from the exhaust. As a result, the maximum power and torque come at a very high rpm. Besides this, the company has also added the Dual Throttle Valve feature that offers a very precise intake and outflow of air. This aspect makes for a very linear power delivery throughout the rev range. Hence, it can take up from low speed even at high gear positions.
Kawasaki Ninja 300 Engine & Fuel Consumption
Kawasaki has enforced the Ninja DNA in this 300cc motorcycle as well. Hence, it results in tremendous power and torque output, which are probably one of the best in the segment. The 296cc liquid-cooled engine gets a two-cylinder mechanism with parallel alignment. The motor is capable of churning out a maximum power of 39.4 hp at 11,000 rpm along with a peak torque of 27 Nm at 10,000 rpm.
The engine is mated to a slipper clutch, which shifts gears as smooth as butter. There is 6-speed gearbox transmitting the power to the wheel.
Ninja 300 Braking & Safety
Just like any other model from Kawasaki, the Ninja 300 has superior braking performance. The discs on both the wheels are big and have good heat dissipation for better braking. It has the added advantage of ABS which is from Bosch.
The 17-inch wheels have a wonderful set of tyres that have a tremendous r
