The Kawasaki Z125 is the smallest member of the Z family. The bike features the traits of the Z tradition of Kawasaki bikes, being very small and light at the same time. The aggressive styling, which reflects the sharpness and the sporty performance of the z series is featured in the bike, besides outputting a minimal amount of power.
The Z125 features a 125 cc engine that makes the bike quite easy to handle along with the fierceness of the Z bikes. The naked and beastly looks added to the handling will be a treat for the riders.
Kawasaki Z125 Design
The Kawasaki Z125 comes with quite some compactness and the nakedness, which is rare to find in small sized bikes. The bike shares the same design of its elder sibling, the Z250 but with an engine restriction. The graphics and the aerodynamics reflect its nakedness and the sporty qualities of the bike. The digital instrumentation gives a techy fold to the qualities of the bike and makes it quite convenient for the riders to gain at-a-glance information.
The LED headlamps and the tail lamps give it the roaring beast look that the riders crave out of a naked sports bike. The Z125 is not as bulky as its elder siblings in the front but still does not lag behind in appearance.
Z125 Ride & Handling
The Kawasaki Z125, being very small and compact, takes care of the ride comfort and handling with precision. The bike has a kerb weight of 146 kilograms, which gives the rider much control over the bike. The 17-inch front and rear wheels offer stability to the bike at great speeds and even on uneven roads.
The suspension on the bike offers rigidity and at the same time, keeps unsprung weight low for a very sporty ride. The front suspension offers a 37 mm telescopic fork and the rear wheel features a mono-shock suspension, which gives comfort to the riders on bumpy rides and doesn't let them feel discomfort while riding on bad roads.
Kawasaki Z125 Engine & Fuel Consumption
The Kawasaki Z125 fuels a 125cc two-valve fuel-injected single cylinder engine, which puts out a maximum power of 15 hp at 10,000 rpm and a maximum torque of 11.7 Nm at 7,700 rpm. Designed to have sporty characters and equipped with qualities like a quick-revving engine, along with a centrifugal clutch, which helps it tear through the city streets.
The power generated from the engine is transferred very smoothly to the wheel by the six-speed transmission gear assembly, along with a centrifugal clutch. The gear shift assembly and the clutch works quite smooth for the bike to rock the city streets that require a lot of gear changes. On the bad roads, the engine exerts great power and the transmission works perfectly on handling this power.
Z125 Braking & Safety
The Kawasaki Z125, being sporty, also offers a lot of safety measures. The bike comes with a dual-channel ABS and disc brakes on both the wheels for better control over the momentum. To be precise, the bike comes with a 290 mm single disc brake in the front wheel and a 220 mm unit for the rear. This gifts the rider with an incredible stopping power over the bike and takes care of the safety.
The Z125 has a high ground clearance of 185 mm and seat height of 815 mm for the riders of all height variance to have control over the bike. The bike, being quite a lightweight one, along with all these safety measures, keeps the rider very safe even in unfortunate conditions.
Kawasaki Z125 Verdict
The Kawasaki Z125 really stands strong against its opponents, with the features of the Z family of Kawasaki and the upgraded sportiness. The smooth transmission promises to enhance the riding experience of the bike and gifts them with handling and riding qualities. The disc brakes and the ABS help with the safety issues and guarantee control over the bike for the rider. The engine is quite a small one to output a lot of power but still manages to give quite a sporty ride and the beastly revving similar to its predecessors.
