First launched in 2014, the Kawasaki Z250SL is for the city rider that wants a little more punch in their stride. The Z250SL delivers this through lightweight chassis that aids agile handling. The power comes from a 250 cc single cylinder fuel injected, liquid-cooled engine that produces 28 hp and 22.6 Nm of torque. The high revving engine is mated to a six-speed transmission.

The bike also features a distinctive styling, digital instrumentation, and adjustable monoshock rear suspension and disc brakes on both ends. The bike has not received any updates in quite some time but with a powerful engine and an able handling package at an affordable price, it continues to be a good choice for anyone who wants a high performing bike for the urban landscape. The naked looks, the low seat adjustment, and the digital instrumentation add to the elegance of the Z250SL. The aggressive street fighter design of the bike is inspired by its predecessors in the Z lineup. The high-quality multi-reflector headlamp, inspired by the Z800, adds to the roaring looks of the bike and the resemblance to the Z family.

The trellis frame, made out of high-tensile steels, which is sure to offer an optimum rigidity balance, adds to its sleek and lightweight design along with its cool and sexy looks. The digital instrumentation, which consists of the bar-graph tachometer, digital speedometer, odometer, dual trip meters, clock, and the fuel gauge add to the looks offered by the Z models and offers a lot of information. The total kerb weight of 168 kilograms, which offers easy and comfortable handlings, is supported by the symmetrical weight distribution.

Z250SL Ride & Handling

Given the immense power and quite a smooth transmission, the Kawasaki Z250SL offers quite an amazing handling. The front and the rear are both 17-inch alloy wheels, which will serve good with handling on both city streets and off-road. The wide 140 mm rear tyre adds to the stability and controlled handling of the bike.

The front suspension offered by the Z250SL is a 37mm telescopic fork, while the rear has a bottom link uni-trak, which comes with a gas-charged shock and a 5-way adjustable preload. This proves its worth on the most extreme roads by keeping the driver safe and comfortable in the most uneven roads. The chassis of the bike is tube diamond made out of steel, which will make the ride and handling fulfilling to the rider’s convenience.

Kawasaki Z250SL Engine & Fuel Consumption

The Kawasaki Z250SL comes with an engine with the capacity of 249cc, which is a four-valved fuel-injected liquid-cooled engine, consisting of two-cylinders. This power-packed machine puts an output of 32 hp at 11,000 rpm and a maximum torque of 21 Nm at 10,000 rpm. The deliverance of this immense power from the engine to the wheels is carried out by a very smooth transmission.

The transmission consists of a 6-speed gearbox assembly and a wet multi-plate clutch, which is sure to make the power handling and the ride quite smooth in streets full of traffic. The gearbox and the wet clutch also makes the Z250SL an expert on the off-road supported by the great power generated by the engine.

Z250SL Braking & Safety

In the safety and braking segment, the Kawasaki Z250SL is very much equipped with all the measures. The front and rear wheels are equipped with disc brakes, which, to be precise, are of 290 mm and 220 mm in size respectively.

The ground clearance is 145 mm and the seat height is 785 mm, which makes it very comfortable for all types of riders, even the shorter ones, to handle the Z250SL at great speeds with maximum safety.
