Keeway CS 110

As expected from an entry-level model, Keeway has decided to make the CS 110 look basic and simple, which is quite evident from the way it looks. However, despite its basic positioning, the CS 110 manages to look quite youthful.

At the front, the Keeway CS 110 has a small arrowhead shaped headlamp positioned on the handlebar. And the presence of clear lens turn indicators besides the headlamp gives it a rounded look. The small front apron has got two vertical scoops at the center, which make it look quite sporty. The small kink shaped positioning lamps on the lower edges of the front apron is also a nice and thoughtful touch.

The side profile of the Keeway CS 110 looks quite sporty, thanks to the presence of loud body graphics on the rear side body panels as well as the side portions of the front apron. The nice C-shaped silver garnish on the panel below the footboard is a unique design element which makes it look exclusive. The exhaust pipe looks a tad too simple, while the grey theme for the engine too reminds that this is an entry-level vehicle. However, the black finished alloy wheels do compensate for this basic appeal.

At the rear, as with all the cub class machines, the Keeway CS 110 has got a minimalist tail lamp cluster with clear lens turn indicators positioned on the sides of the tail light. The single piece pillion grab rail as well as seat are ergonomically styled and positioned to make it feel comfortable for both the riders.

What is quite disappointing is the fact that the Keeway CS 110 lacks in terms of comfort and convenience features. However, it does come with an electric starter for convenience purposes.

In the traditional manner of how the cub class bikes derive their suspension units from motorcycles, the Keeway CS 110 is fitted with hydraulic telescopic forks at the front and oil damped telescopic coil springs at the rear.

Matching the suppleness of the ride quality provided by this suspension setup is agile handling offered by the 17-inch wheel. The Keeway CS110’s braking duties are taken care of by a disc brake at the front and a drum brake at the rear, and it is quite an appreciable fact that an entry-level cub class bike like the CS 110 is equipped with a disc brake.

At the heart of the Keeway CS 110 sits a four-stroke, single-cylinder, air-cooled, carbureted, 109cc engine. Coupled to a simple 4-speed gearbox, the engine is grunty enough to produce a maximum power output of 6.1PS and a peak torque output of 7Nm.

While these figures do sound too low for an engine of 109cc displacement, do note that the Keeway CS 110 tips the weighing scales at just 98kgs. This gives the CS 110 a decent power to weight ratio to make the powerful adequately powerful for urban duties.

Save for the disc brake, there is no other major or minor safety feature on the Keeway CS 110, which is quite understandable considering the entry-level price positioning of the vehicle.

For an entry-level machine, the Keeway CS 110 is quite promising with its urban design and decent mechanicals. While with the obvious reasons, it does not pack in too many features in order to keep the costs low, the overall styling is quite urban and not drab. The performance, ride quality and handling offered by the Keeway CS 110 is pretty impressive, which makes it a good choice for all those urban youth who do not want to spend too much on a two-wheel vehicle.
