Among all the modern-day flagship roadsters, the Moto Morini Corsaro ZT is a unique offering as a retro-themed motorcycle, which hasn’t compromised much with its old-school roots. The Moto Morini Corsaro ZT is here to impress with its old-school flavour in performance and visual appeal. The motorcycle is on sale in the Philippines in two colour options - white and matte beige.

Moto Morini Corsaro ZT Design
The Moto Morini Corsaro ZT is a fresh breeze among flagship roadsters – while others are moving towards edgy and flashy designs, the Corsaro ST keeps it simple with its retro-themed design. Some of the design bits will instantly take you to bygone eras, which used to have them, which further make them feel special and spark the flame of nostalgia.
At the front, the Moto Morini Corsaro ZT has a simple, no-nonsense rounded halogen headlamp, which is devoid of any kind of LED treatment. It even misses out on daytime running LEDs. However, the triangular turn indicators flanking the headlamp are LED units. The minimalist look of the front profile of the Moto Morini Corsaro ZT completes with a short tinted visor above the headlamp and a chopped front fender.
The real old-school essence of the Moto Morini Corsaro ZT begins when you look at it from the side. With its bulbous and simple-looking fuel tank, fully-exposed engine, and frame in themes of black and high-mounted angular tailpiece with dual exhaust pipes stacked under it remind you of roadsters from yesteryears. The 2-into-2 exhaust pipes flow beautifully towards the rear and are stuck out below the high-mounted tailpiece. It is where the pillion comfort goes for a toss a bit, as it is placed too high and very close to the exhaust pipes.
The rear profile of the Moto Morini Corsaro ZT looks simple yet fascinating, with a tiny LED tail lamp placed above the exhaust pipe outlets. There is no functional rear fender on the motorcycle, instead, it gets a small rear tyre hugger with license plate housing and LED turn indicators mounted on it.
While everything on the Moto Morini Corsaro ZT reminds you of old-school motorcycles, the full-TFT 5-inch instrument console is a fresh and welcoming addition to it. The display unit reads out a host of data, which is presented in multiple display modes, thus making it a cool-looking console. The switchgear, handlebar, and mirrors look plain for a motorcycle of this segment, but they are made of top-notch quality bits.
Corsaro ZT Ride & Handling
The Moto Morini Corsaro ZT has a kerb weight of 191 kg, which for a huge motorcycle of its category, is quite lightweight. It comes as a shock, considering that the motorcycle screams old-school from every angle. The Corsaro ZT has a suspension combination of 46 mm upside-down telescopic fork fully adjustable in preload, damping in compression and rebounds at the front, and a single shock with progressive link to the swingarm, fully adjustable in preload (with hydraulic remote command), height, damping in the rebound at the rear. The Pirelli Diablo Rosso III tyres – 120/70 ZR17 front and 190/55 ZR17 rear–wrapped over 17-inch alloy wheels offer tremendous grip levels. Also impressive are the brakes – dual 320mm discs at the front and a single 220mm disc at the rear.
Moto Morini Corsaro ZT Engine & Fuel Consumption
The power in the Moto Morini Corsaro ZT comes from a four-stroke, liquid-cooled, 87-degree V-twin, 1187cc engine, which is currently one of the most powerful and biggest 1000cc+ V-twins in the market right now. This engine is coupled to a 6-speed gearbox and pumps out impressive numbers – the maximum power output of 139 PS and a peak torque output of 112 Nm. The clutch of the Moto Morini Corsaro ZT gets a patented anti-hopping system as well.
Corsaro ZT Braking & Safety
It is where the disappointment from the Moto Morini Corzaro ZT becomes evident, as the motorcycle has very limited equipment on board. It packs in just a dual-channel ABS from Bosch and a slipper clutch, with no other modern-day safety equipment and electronics on board.
Moto Morini Corsaro ZT Verdict
The Moto Morini Corzaro ZT might not impress those who want modern-day styling lines and equipment, but is surely going to appeal to those who want their motorcycles to look and feel as good as retro roadsters from the old era.
