It boasts a modern-looking exterior, a roomy cabin filled with plenty of up-to-date technologies, and a reliable engine, which makes it an enticing option for car buyers looking for a daily driver or a capable weekender.

But what choices does the Filipino car buyer have aside from the South Korean crossover? Today, we dive in to see what are the possible alternatives to the Kia Seltos.

Ford Territory

The Ford Territory is one of the Kia Seltos’ toughest competitors.

Featured is an updated exterior with LED lighting, a refreshed grille, aluminum roof rails, chrome door handles, a hands-free liftgate, and a panoramic moonroof.

Inside, it gets leather perforated seats, a leather-wrapped steering wheel, a 12-inch digital instrument panel, and a 12-inch infotainment screen.

Power comes from a 1.5-liter EcoBoost gasoline engine mated to a seven-speed automatic transmission. The powertrain setup pushes as much as 157 horsepower (hp) and 248 Newton-meters (Nm) of torque.

In terms of safety, the Ford Territory comes with features like adaptive cruise control, forward collision warning, lane departure warning, and a collision mitigation system, to name a few.

The Ford Territory is priced from P1.335 million to P1.599 million.

Honda HR-V

Another solid choice for anyone looking for a crossover is the Honda HR-V.

This vehicle packs modern minimalist looks thanks to a set of slim and sleek LED lights, a discreet grille, dual tailpipe finishers, and a set of 18-inch alloy wheels.

The cabin boasts leather seats, a leather steering wheel, a seven-inch digital instrument cluster, and an eight-inch touchscreen infotainment system.

Under its hood is a 1.5-liter turbocharged engine mated to a continuously variable transmission, which puts out approximately 174hp and 240Nm of torque.

Its safety technologies include adaptive cruise control, low-speed follow, road departure mitigation, and lead car departure notification, among others.

The Honda HR-V is priced from P1.389 million to P1.739 million.
