Manual or AGS: Which Suzuki S-Presso is for you?

The Suzuki S-Presso has swiftly gained popularity as an affordable and practical option for urban driving. It is known for its unique design, affordable price tag, and practical features.

This hatchback is available in two variants: MT and AGS. Let’s check out the similarities and differences between the two.

Transmission options

The MT and AGS versions of the Suzuki S-Presso differ in their transmission options. The S-Presso MT comes with a five-speed manual transmission, giving drivers full control over gear shifting.

On the other hand, the S-Presso AGS features an Auto Gear Shift transmission, which combines the convenience of an automatic transmission with the fuel efficiency of a manual transmission.

Engine

Both S-Presso variants are powered by a 1.0-liter K10C engine with Engine Auto Start System that automatically turns off the engine when the vehicle is in idle to avoid wasting fuel.

The engine churns out 65 horsepower and 89 Newton-meters of torque.

Exterior

The S-Presso MT and AGS share the same overall design. Both variants feature a unique body shape with a sinewy front grille, C-shaped tail lamps, alloy wheels, and body-colored bumpers.

Interior

Both the Suzuki S-Presso MT and AGS offer a surprisingly spacious cabin for a compact car. With its tall and boxy design, the S-Presso maximizes headroom and legroom, ensuring a comfortable ride for both driver and passengers.

The two S-Presso variants are both equipped with a seven-inch new-generation touchscreen infotainment display that supports Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, making it easy to connect your smartphone and access your favorite apps and music on the go.

Another notable feature is the modern digital speedometer, which is also standard on both variants. The cabin also comes with manual air-conditioning system controls, a 12-volt socket, and a USB port.

Safety

In terms of safety features, both variants of the S-Presso are equipped with dual airbags and electronic stability program.

Hill hold control is exclusive to the AGS variant.

Pricing

The Suzuki S-Presso MT retails for P620,000 while the AGS comes with a P660,000 price tag.
