MANILA: Bentley Motors released a special limited-edition Mulsanne to honor its rich history of crafting bespoke automobiles. The limited-edition Mulsanne gets an exquisite touch of Mulliner, the name that has been long used for creating individually specified Bentley units.

The Mulsanne WO Edition by Mulliner is designed to pay homage to company founder Walter Owen Bentley (or simply WO Bentley). Each of the 100 limited-edition Mulsannes comes with a genuine piece of the carmaker’s history. Every unit is equipped with a slice of the original crankshaft that was taken from WO Bentley’s personal 8 Liter car, the last model he designed for Bentley Motors in 1930.

The Philippines is one of the few markets to secure this very limited production car — now on display at the Bentley Manila showroom in Bonifacio Global City.

Clients were able to choose their Mulsanne WO Edition from the Mulsanne lineup, and most preferred to equip it with the elegant Beluga black wheels and a color-split leather interior cut from Heritage Hide. The car also features the sliver of the crankshaft from WO Bentley’s 8 Liter, which is exquisitely displayed under a piece of glass in the highly bespoke cocktail cabinet or bottle cooler at the rear of the cabin.

Aside from the Mulsanne WO Edition, the Bentley Manila showroom will also display another very special Mulliner, a new Continental GT Mulliner Convertible in an exceptional Snow Quartz body color with a blue convertible top. Its interior is designed with a color-split of Newmarket Tan and Imperial Blue.

The Continental GT Mulliner Convertible is equipped with cut-crystal-inspired headlamps and a bold Double Diamond grille with bespoke Mulliner side vents. The Double Diamond design was derived from Bentley’s unique Diamond-in-Diamond interior quilting that furnishes the car seats, door panels, rear quarters, and the tonneau cover. It takes almost 400,000 stitches to achieve this quilting across the car’s interior, with each diamond containing 712 stitches and each one precisely formed to highlight the center of the diamond it creates.

Other exclusive features on the Continental GT Mulliner Convertible are mood lighting with seven different themes, illuminated Mulliner tread plates, and LED welcome lamps that project the Bentley wings to the ground. The car’s bold and muscular exterior look is accentuated by the new 22-inch, 10-spoke painted and polished wheels with floating, self-leveling badges.

The Continental GT Mulliner Convertible also comes with the Naim for Bentley audio system with 18 speakers and two active bass transducers powered by a 2,200-watt, 20-channel amplifier and eight DSP sound modes with active bass.

The Continental GT Mulliner Convertible is motivated by Bentley’s new 4.0-liter, twin-turbocharged V8 engine that enables the car to accelerate from a standstill to 100kph in four seconds and reach a maximum speed of 318kph.

Each Continental GT Mulliner Convertible comes with a leather-wrapped key that is stored inside an elegant, handcrafted Mulliner presentation box which complements the three-color interior specification of the unit it is paired with. Clients can opt for any bespoke shade as Bentley and Mulliner artisan paint specialists are pleasured to grant their specific requests.
