Bentley has always paid much more attention to the cabin of its cars to make them feel ultra-opulent, comfortable and rich in appeal. Being a flagship offering, the Bentayga justifies its position as a range-topping full-size luxury SUV, which is evident in its sheer size and immaculate attention-to-detailing exterior. The front profile of the Bentley Bentayga looks heavily inspired by the other Bentleys like the Flying Spur and Continental GT, which is visible in the arrangement and design of the dual elliptical headlamps featuring Bentley’s signature ‘crystal cut’ design. Other elements making the Bentayga look grand and familiar to other Bentleys on offer are the signature ‘power line’ running from the front to the rear, winged ‘B’ on the front bonnet, a prominent bulge over the rear fenders and the massive trapezoidal grille with diamond-shaped inserts.

The richness in the visual appearance of the Bentley Bentayga is taken to the next level by the contrast silver valances on the front and rear bumpers and 21-inch five-spoke alloy wheels, which also elevate the stance of the SUV. At the back, the Bentley Bentayga has elliptical LED tail lamps and a sporty roof spoiler, the former of which makes the rear profile of the SUV look wide.

For additional control over non-uniform and rougher surfaces, the Bentayga has four additional settings in the drive mode selector – ‘snow and grass’ for low friction surfaces, ‘dirt and gravel’ for driving over loose debris, ‘mud and trail’ for slippery and muddy terrains and ‘sand’ for driving over loose dunes.

For the base-spec Bentayga, Bentley has chosen the 4.0-litre twin-turbocharged petrol engine and 8-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission, which also powers the Continental GT. Equipped with an all-wheel-drive system, this powertrain claims 550 PS of power and 770 Nm of torque. With this powertrain, the Bentayga can hit the 0-100 kmph sprint in 4.5 seconds, while attaining a top speed of 290 kmph.

The advanced safety features offered in the Bentley Bentayga include Drag Torque Control (MSR), ABS with EBD and brake assist, Electronic Stability Programme (ESP) with Traction Control (TCS), Electronic Diff Lock (EDL), Hill Descent Control (HDC), Roll-Over Mitigation (ROM), Trailer Sway Mitigation (TSM) and ESC off-road mode.
