Hyundai Baliwag won first place in the Best In Service category, followed by Hyundai Leuwipanjang in Indonesia and Vi Auto Group in Thailand.Launched in 2018, this network-wide competition promotes exceptional customer service in sales and aftersales.
It not only strengthens the competencies of frontline representatives of the brand, but also helps them embody the Hyundai Dealer Key Behavior of HEART (Host, Empathize, Anticipate, Respect, and Thank).
13,590 teams from 85 different countries submitted entries last year. Role-play videos addressing scenarios for a showroom test drive and a complaint response were produced and submitted by participating Sales Consultants and Service Advisors. After two rounds of evaluations, first by their respective Regional Headquarters (RHQ), then by HMC, winners were formally declared on December 13, 2022.

Hyundai Motor Philippines, Inc. (HMPH) President Dongwook Lee and HMPH Managing Director Cecil Capacete formally handed the medals to the aforementioned local winners on January 19 in Cebu City.
“We are very proud to have two of our dealer partners be recognized for their efforts. At Hyundai Motor, we value the trust and loyalty of our customers. We strive to create strong relationships by showing them sincerity of heart on every phase of their ownership journey and as we continue to mark the brand’s footprint in the Philippines, our trusted network of dealers will help us uphold this standard for customer care,” Lee stated.
Hyundai Naga is supervised by the Chiongbian Group. Since 2003, the Chiongbian Group has been a pioneer of the Hyundai brand. Hyundai Naga first opened its doors in Maharlika Highway, Del Rosario in 2016 and has been actively servicing Hyundai customers in Camarines Sur since then.
“Our Naga City dealership has always had a spirit of being competitive so they didn’t let this once-in-a-lifetime opportunity slip away especially considering that it is a global contest. CXC also actually brought about challenges towards ourselves as a group, to apply and translate newly learned skills to our daily operations. This was truly a memorable experience that will help us not only reassess our abilities but also guarantee our customers that the same standards are applied in our Alabang, Las Piñas, San Pablo and Davao dealerships,” Chiongbian Group Chairman William Chiongbian said.
Hyundai Baliwag, on the other hand, is managed by the Laus Group. Since 2005, the Laus Group has been driving and expanding Hyundai's footprint in Northern Luzon. It also handles the operations of Hyundai Dagupan, Hyundai La Union, and Hyundai Ilocos Norte. Their extensive industry knowledge has helped them succeed in providing outstanding owner retention and satisfaction. In 20098, the Laus Group established Hyundai Baliwag in Doña Remedio, Trinidad in Bulacan. It has received numerous awards for its outstanding aftersales operations and service.
“We felt honored and happy when we received news that our very own Hyundai Baliwag received the highest award and bested other Hyundai dealerships in the region,” Laus Group Chairwoman Lisset Laus-Velasco stated. “The past two years have been tough but through the help of Hyundai Motor Philippines, as well as our hardworking team, we were able to give back and meet the expectations of our customers. Rest assured that we will strive to improve even more the way we do business through a more dynamic and personalized approach. This win is not just for Hyundai Laus Group, but for the Philippines’ dealer network as well.”
