2015 Frankfurt Motor Show: Toyota Reveals the Updated CH-R Concept
MANILA: Toyota revealed the updated CH-R concept at #2015FrankfurtMotorShow. CH-R concept was previously showcased at the 2014 Paris Motor Show. The alleged concept still features the fascinating exterior design with more practical utility features.
CH-R comes with a unique aesthetic with clear-lens headlights in the front. The front grilles look simple and well profiled. No changes have been made to the front bumper and hood. This proper 5-door concept gets large 21-inch wheels which make it look bold and core off-roader. The interiors comes with a dual-tone color scheme inspired from the original concept. It is mated with a uniform gloss finish to make it look upmarket.
CH-R concept is based on the Toyota New Global Architecture (TNGA) platform. The newly launched Prius is also based on the same platform. This new platform will allow Toyota to make vehicles that will hold better chassis rigidity and offer amazing handling and ride comfort.
The new CH-R is a hybrid vehicle that will have a targeted thermal efficiency of 40%. The company has also tried to give CH-R a compact design by installing smaller and lightweight components. It also offers improved fuel efficiency.
Toyota is looking forward to reveal the production-version of the CH-R at the Geneva Motor Show in March 2016. Let’s keep the fingers crossed for the same as Toyota may do this in style.
