2019 Toyota Avanza officially launched, available across PH from Php 731k
MANILA: The Filipinos have been waiting eagerly for Toyota to officially launch the much anticipated 2019 Avanza in the country. While there has been information coming out regularly regarding the facelifted MPV, the official launch was the event that was awaited the most. The car that has found over 100,000 homes ever since its inception in 2006 now comes with “refreshed sporty look, a redesigned dashboard with a new infotainment system, and practical safety features”, said Toyota at the launch.
The 2019 Avanza is a proper facelift. Starting off from the exterior, we can see that the MPV has gone under the hammer in order to attain a modern appearance. The new version looks much sportier than before thanks to the split headlamp setup that flanks a thick chrome trim, blacked out large secondary grille, and the fog lamps with dedicated housings on either corner of the front bumper. Moreover, while the dual-tone alloys enhance the side profile of the new Avanza, a shark fin antenna along with enlarged taillamps which are conjoined by a chrome trim provide the rear end of the MPV with a sporty stance.
On the inside, the 2019 Toyota Avanza is as spacious and comfortable as ever. The seven-seat arrangement makes sure you can plan family trips without a fuss. Taking care of the entertainment needs is a 6.8-inch touchscreen infotainment system that comes equipped with K2 Technology audio and smartphone mirroring. As this system does not feature Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, the smartphone mirroring is done via the T-Link app. Another great addition on the 2019 Avanza is the digital air conditioning controls.
The 2019 Toyota Avanza is available in six variants which feature two different powertrains. Powering the E and J variant is a 1.3-litre engine that makes 96 PS of maximum power whereas the other two variants, i.e., G and Veloz house under their hoods a bigger 1.5-litre engine that churns out 104 PS. Transmission options are a four-speed automatic and a five-speed manual.
In terms of safety of the passengers, the facelifted Avanza comes with conventional safety features like dual SRS airbags, anti-lock braking system, and ISOFIX child seat mounts among others. The newest iteration of the Avanza can be had in either of White, Gray Metallic, Silver Mica Metallic, Dark Blue SE, Black Metallic, and Beige Metallic. There is also a special Dark Red Mica Metallic color exclusive to the top-of-the-line model, Veloz. The six variants of the 2019 Toyota Avanza carry the following price tags:
- Toyota Avanza 1.3 J MT – P731,000
- Toyota Avanza 1.3 E MT – P864,000
- Toyota Avanza 1.3 E AT – P907,000
- Toyota Avanza 1.5 G MT – P957,000
- Toyota Avanza 1.5 G AT – P1,000,000
- Toyota Avanza 1.5 Veloz – P1,065,000
So, what are you waiting for then? The 2019 Toyota Avanza is here and anyone looking to bring home an MPV this summer must head over to the nearest Toyota dealership and test drive the all-new Japs family four-wheeler.
