GAC M6 Pro

The cabin layout of the GAC M6 Pro is finished in a very unique-looking dual-tone combination of black and purple leather upholstery, with splashes of purple-colored soft touch leather over the dashboard and door trims. The curved design of the dashboard with the large centre console makes the cabin of the GAC M6 Pro look wide and spacious, and with ample room in all three rows, it offers the space and comfort one looks out for in a vehicle of this genre.

The dashboard of the GAC M6 Pro looks modern with the 7-inch LCD instrument console and a 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system placed side-by-side in a slanted manner. The middle part of the centre console has slanted and sleek AC vents, while the lower centre console also has a slanted panel for the dual-zone automatic climate control and audio control buttons placed over a gloss black panel, along with the transmission lever and electronic parking brake switch.

For its price, the GAC M6 Pro is impressively equipped with many modern features like ambient lighting, a panoramic sunroof, captain seats in the middle row, an 8-speaker audio system, an air purifier, a 6-way powered driver’s seat and a multi-functional steering wheel with both tilt and telescopic adjustability. 

The GAC M6 Pro has a striking design language for its exterior, especially at the front and rear, from where this MPV has a bold appearance that makes it look very trendy and up-to-date. The tasteful execution of chrome elements and all-LED illumination make it an attention grabber.

At the front, the GAC M6 Pro has a slanted, car-like bonnet that flows towards the massive fascia, which consists of multiple horizontal slats with sweptback chrome garnishes on their sides. The uppermost side chrome garnishes flow towards the sleek headlamps, which have triple LED projectors and daytime running LEDs. On the other hand, the lowermost side chrome garnishes stretch towards the vertical triangular faux air dams on the corners of the front bumper.

The side profile of the GAC M6 Pro looks comparatively less dramatic than the front end, with the MPV having a chrome garnish over the upper and lower window waistline. An uprising kink in the lower window waistline below the rear quarter glass stretches towards the blacked-out D-pillar, giving the MPV a floating roof effect. The large 18-inch diamond-cut alloy wheels and silver-finished side scuff plate add more visual drama to the side profile of the GAC M6 Pro.

At the back, the GAC M6 Pro has a massive tail lamp cluster, which consists of rounded rectangular combination LED tail lamps on the corners and a huge LED connecting light bar joining these tail lamps. The rear windscreen of the GAC M6 Pro is almost vertical, while the boot lid has the license plate housing in its lower half.

With Macpherson struts at the front and a torsion beam at the rear for its suspension combination, the GAC M6 Pro has an adequately plush ride quality. And with a nice sense of space in all three rows, the GAC M6 Pro is decently comfortable even for longer journeys. However, the light steering setup feels artificial at higher speeds.

Both the variants of the GAC M6 Pro have a 1.5-litre four-cylinder turbocharged petrol engine paired with a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission under their hoods. This engine claims a maximum power output of 174 bhp, while the peak torque output is rated at 270 Nm. The power and torque figures look ample on paper, but the GAC M6 Pro lacks consistency in power delivery at higher RPMs.

The GAC M6 Pro is loaded with safety features like front, side, and curtain airbags, ABS with EBD and brake assist, hill start assist, hill descent control, electronic stability program, reverse parking sensors, tyre pressure monitoring system, surround view camera, adaptive cruise control, lane departure warning, autonomous emergency braking, forward collision braking, lane keep assist, high beam assist, integrated cruise assist, traffic jam assist, and traffic sign recognition system.

The GAC M6 Pro impresses with its bold exterior design, premium, and feature-rich cabin, and plush ride quality, which most of the MPV buyers in this category seek in a three-row vehicle.
