With the two giants already in the market with their newest flagships,

how could Mercedes-Benz stay quiet? And, here is the other German giant with its flagship SUV for the Philippines. In a recent launch event, the Auto Nation Group launched the 2020 Mercedes-Benz GLE. For those still not familiar with the company, it is the official distributor of Mercedes-Benz vehicles in the Philippines.

In its fourth generation now, the 2020 Mercedes-Benz GLE comes vaunting a refreshed appearance, plethora of comfort & convenience features, and a powertrain that is more than adequate for your needs. For starters, the front fascia of the SUV gets a fresh pair of LED headlamps that get dual-LED DRLs.

These headlights flank a mesh grille that houses a pair of horizontal slats and a large Mercedes-Benz logo in the centre. On the sides, there are roof rails, 21-inch alloy wheels with five dual-spokes, and running boards. At the rear end of SUV are wraparound LED taillights, skid plate, and dual trapezoid exhaust outlets. Moreover, the black body cladding provides the 2020 Mercedes-Benz GLE with a muscular and rugged look.

Hop inside the 2020 Mercedes-Benz GLE, and you will be greeted by a plethora of creature comforts. There are two 12.3-inch monitors for the MBUX infotainment system that features various neat features like Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, Bluetooth, voice control, and navigation. Furthermore, Artico leather and other metal,

glossy, and soft-touch trims bolster the avant-garde style cabin. Other features that enhance the ride experience with the 2020 Mercedes-Benz GLE comprise of four-zone automatic climate control, Burmester sound system, heated & ventilated seats, powered front, and rear seats, adaptive cruise control, front and rear parking sensors, powered tailgate, tyre pressure monitoring system, and Parktronic active parking assist.

On the mechanical front, the 2020 Mercedes-Benz GLE is powered by a 2.0-litre four-cylinder motor that makes 245 PS of maximum power and a peak torque of 500 Nm. The 4Matic all-wheel-drive system and 9GTronic nine-speed automatic gearbox work in tandem to send the power to all four wheels. Multiple SRS airbags, ABS with EBD and BA, blind-spot assist,

electronic stability control, traction control, and many other safety features make the 2020 Mercedes-Benz GLE as safe as a house. Available in a solitary 300d variant, the German SUV carries a price tag of Php 5,690,000.
