2020 Range Rover Evoque gets that hybrid flair

MANILA: Land Rover has unveiled the all-new Range Rover Evoque. It has been not too long since the British manufacturer showcased the wired sculptures of the updated Range Rover Evoque. The new compact crossover, inspired from those wired frames, now looks distinctive and boasts an all-new set of technologies as well.

At the front, a larger than before grille, revamped headlamps, and other deft updates provide the Evoque with a mercenary yet calm expression. Inspiration from the Velar has been taken in designing the new Evoque. With the redesigned bumper, tailgate, and the new LED taillamps, the 2020 Range Rover Evoque look like a modern vehicle.

Move inside the compact crossover and you might say it doesn’t look too different. Yes, it doesn’t but the technology has taken over a lot of the interior. The new Evoque now features a digital instrument console, the trademark TouchPro Duo infotainment system, and a digital climate control system. What more you can find inside the 2020 Evoque are a traditional gear knob, Dinamica microfibre upholstery, engine start/stop button, panoramic sunroof, and 16-way power-adjustable front seats.

With the most interesting addition being the 48 V hybrid system, the Evoque is powered by different gasoline and diesel motors. The power figures range between 150 PS to 300 PS, though. The transmission duties on the 2020 Evoque are handled by either a 6-speed manual or a 9-speed automatic unit. There is also a 3-cylinder turbocharged engine coupled with a plug-in hybrid.

The Range Rover Evoque also comes equipped with safety features like driver condition monitoring, front and rear parking sensors, reverse camera, adaptive cruise control, lane keep assist, autonomous emergency braking, ClearSight rear-view mirror, and ground view system.

2020 Land Rover Range Rover Evoque will start rolling out in the markets globally later next year.
