2021 Jaguar F-Pace and XF unveiled in PH
MANILA: Jaguar Philippines has officially launched two facelifted models in its lineup the 2021 Jaguar F-Pace and the XF.
The new Jaguar F-Pace is made more luxurious, connected, and efficient as it is designed with an assertive exterior appearance and a deluxe interior. It also comes with the latest generation Pivi Pro infotainment and an in-line four-cylinder engine with MHEV technology.
All F-Pace variants come with intelligent all-wheel drive and eight-speed automatic transmission. A belt integrated starter generator (BiSG) is applied to collect the energy lost when slowing down and braking. The harvested energy is kept in a separate 48V lithium-ion battery before being reused to support the engine when accelerating and generating a more refined stop/start system.
The new exterior look gives the SUV a sleek style as it features a sculpted bonnet with a wide power bulge and precisely defined surfaces. The enlarged grille features the brand’s heritage logo-inspired “diamond” detailing. The iconic Leaper emblem is embellished on the side fender vents, showcasing the remarkable attention to detail found right across the vehicle. The new Jaguar F-Pace also features a new front bumper with redesigned air intakes and dark mesh accents that visually broaden the vehicle for a more dynamic presence.
The SUV is also equipped with super slim all-LED quad headlights with “Double J” daytime running light (DRL) signature. The slimline lights at the rear feature Jaguar’s double chicane graphic to highlight the width of the vehicle. The new tailgate and bumper design also add visual drama, providing a more confident aura.
On the inside, the F-Pace features a bold, dynamic, and driver-centric cockpit with a new sporty center console, wireless charger, and greater console stowage. It is equipped with an 11.4-inch curved-glass HD touchscreen that controls the Pivi Pro infotainment system. The screen features a simplified menu, allowing drivers to access up to 90% of frequently used tasks from the home screen in two taps or less. The vehicle’s infotainment system can be connected to an iPhone via Apple CarPlay.
The new Jaguar F-Pace also comes with an HD interactive driver display with enriched graphics and a configurable layout. It can display full-screen navigation mapping with turn-by-turn instructions, digital dials, media, contact list, or infotainment details. An optional head-up display technology is also available to provide the driver with all the relevant information with less distraction.
The cabin also comes with new door casings and a new 360-degree grab handle that provide easier access and more storage for bottles of drinks and other items. Meanwhile, the electric window switches are moved down so occupants can easily reach them.
The new F-Pace also features active road noise cancellation technology that monitors vibrations from the road surface and measures the opposite phase sound wave needed to eliminate the noise heard by the occupants. This makes the cabin quieter and helps reduce fatigue, which is usually associated with prolonged exposure to low-frequency noise. It also comes with engine noise cancellation that isolates the cabin from unwanted engine noise.
The Jaguar F-Pace also features the brand’s latest 3D surround camera technology that provides real-time and detailed viewing when maneuvering the vehicle.
The new Jaguar F-Pace symbolizes the brand’s commitment to produce rigid and lightweight vehicles. The SUV is built on an aluminum-intensive architecture that uses recycled aluminum from closed-loop manufacturing for greater sustainability. This is a part of Jaguar’s journey towards Destination Zero, a world of zero emissions, zero accidents, and zero congestion.
Another recently launched Jaguar model is the XF, which features improved exteriors, a luxurious interior, and future-proof technologies.
The Jaguar XF is powered by a next-generation, 2.0-liter four-cylinder Ingenium turbocharged diesel engine and the latest 2.0-liter four-cylinder Ingenium petrol engine.
The sedan’s visual width is enhanced by a new front bumper with larger and lower air intakes and a wide front grille with a mesh design inspired by the Jaguar’s heritage logo. Just like in the new F-Pace, the iconic Leaper emblem is embellished on the side fender vents. The XF is also equipped with slim all-LED quad headlights with “Double J” DRL.
The new Jaguar XF also features a wider rear bumper, body-colored rear upper valance, and darkened rear light surrounds.
On the inside, the XF features a new cockpit design, a new sporty center console integrated with a wireless device charger, and a centrally mounted 11.4-inch curved-glass HD touchscreen.
The Jaguar XF also comes with the latest Pivi Pro infotainment technology, a new 12.3-inch HD interactive driver display, and active road noise cancellation technology, similar to the new F-Pace.
The full 3D surround camera system on the XF can display several views simultaneously on the touchscreen to make parking and maneuvering easier and safer. It shows 3D perspectives, junction view, and ClearSight Plan View with dynamic parking aid overlays.
The cabin’s Meridian sound system has also been upgraded with two additional center channel speakers, giving the system a total of 12 speakers with one subwoofer.
“With enhanced exterior design, all-new beautifully crafted interiors, advanced connectivity, and efficient powertrains, the 21MY mid-cycle facelift vehicles showcase contemporary British design, engineering, and performance at its best,” Jaguar Philippines said in a statement.
