2024 Toyota Innova: What We Know So Far

While there have been murmurs about some dealers and agents offering the much-hyped and beloved MPV to willing customers through the reservation, Toyota Motor Philippines has still kept themselves mum about an official release.

The third-generation Innova was officially introduced as Toyota Innova Zenix in Indonesia in November 2022. According to reports, the 2024 Innova may also be named Zenix in the Philippines as Toyota has previously registered the name “Innova Zenix” in the country.

During the launch of the next-generation Innova in Indonesia, Toyota Innova Chief Engineer Hideki Mizuma revealed that the concept of the upcoming MPV is an “Innovative Multipurpose Crossover,” aiming to offer a versatile crossover with the space and utility of a minivan and incorporated with global values.

The 2024 Toyota Innova is based on the Toyota New Global Architecture-C (GA-C platform), which has a monocoque structure for improved driving comfort. This is the same platform used by the Toyota Corolla Altis, Toyota Corolla Cross, Toyota Prius, and Lexus UX.

With the GA-C platform as its foundation, the 2024 Toyota Innova will have a front-wheel drive configuration.

There are two powertrain options for the 2024 Toyota Innova: hybrid (2.0-liter gas engine + electric motor) and 2.0-liter gas. The hybrid variant has a total system output of 184hp and 393Nm of torque, while the non-hybrid produces 172hp and 205Nm of torque.

The 2024 Toyota Innova gets a 10-speed continuously variable transmission (CVT).

On the inside, the 2024 Toyota Innova features a new 10-inch head unit with smartphone connectivity, a new 10-inch dual rear-seat entertainment system, electric captain seats with ottomans, USB-C ports wireless charging, and a new panoramic retractable roof.

Toyota Safety Sense 3.0, a semi-autonomous safety device that makes use of advanced sensors and radar, is included as standard equipment on the 2024 Toyota Innova. This includes Pre-Collision System, Dynamic Radar Cruise Control, Lane Departure Alert and Lane Tracing Assist, Blind Spot Monitor, and Automatic High Beam.
