9th PIMS: ‘Bold’ version of Suzuki Jimny to be unveiled next week

MANILA: Suzuki Philippines Incorporated (SPH) is set to unveil a "new and bold" version of the Jimny within the month.

In a statement, the Japanese automaker’s arm in the country said that a “fresh and exciting” version of the aforementioned sport utility vehicle shall make its debut at the 9th Philippine International Motor Show (PIMS).

Without sharing details, SPH vowed that the new Jimny offering would “take things even further.” 

“Known for its off-road prowess and adventurous spirit, this new Jimny promises to take things even further. Adventure-seekers won’t want to miss this exciting reveal—it's Jimny like you've never seen it before!” the company mentioned.

The said announcement left Zigwheels Philippines guessing that if not for a refreshed version, the model could be offering an additional variant.

However, we are also looking at the possibility that it might be the nameplate's pickup truck or electrified version (which were earlier reported as part of the marque’s pipeline).

Should one of our guesses be true, such an offering is expected to sell like hotcakes in the Philippines.

Other things to expect in SPH booth

Aside from that, the company will present a lineup of vehicles and activities that reflect the brand’s dedication to sustainable driving solutions at the four-day motor show slated October 24-27 at the World Trade Center Manila.

Per SPH, “a future-forward concept that will spark curiosity and excitement among those who are passionate about clean, efficient mobility” will be unveiled at the event too.

“Stay tuned for this revelation, as Suzuki hints at something big coming on the horizon,” it added.

Further, event goers can also enjoy test drives as well as fun-filled games and other activities designed for the whole family like the Suzuki Safety Scouts Corner.
