A hybrid Range Rover Evoque is en route to the Philippines

MANILA: Ever since Land Rover has joined hands with a new distributor in the Philippines, the British automobile giant has taken huge leaps. And it is keen on introducing more and more newer models in the country. Speaking of which Land Rover recently launch the so-called “baby Range Rover”,

that is, Range Rover Evoque at the 2019 Manila International Auto Show. The SUV was, interestingly enough, launched virtually and the car in physical form will only reach the Filipino shores by the end of 2019.

Featuring the elegant yet appealing look of the typical Range Rover SUV, the Evoque comes with stuff like ClearSight ground view camera. This equipment comes in handy when the driver is not able to observe all that is lying on the road, and as a result, improves the driver’s decision making. Not only this, but this camera also helps the driver in manoeuvring the Range Rover Evoque in close and congested areas.

The SUV also features Active Driveline with Driveline Disconnect and Terrain Response 2. The latter adjusts the mechanical bits of the car after receiving data about the terrain which the Evoque is being driven on. Another interesting addition is the Adaptive Dynamics that helps in adjusting the suspension setup of the SUV, in order to provide the occupants with a smooth and bump-free ride. A 600 mm, water wading capacity, makes sure you can take your Evoque to the destination even through deep waters.

While Land Rover has not revealed about what engine options it will offer with the Range Rover Evoque in the Philippines, the arrival of a hybrid setup is still certain. We say this because both the diesel and gasoline mills on the SUV in other markets are equipped with hybrid tech, thus, irrespective of the engine we get, the Philippine bound Evoque will have the hybrid tech.
