All-electric iX headlines BMW's display at PIMS 2022

MANILA: BMW Philippines joins the 8th Philippine International Motor Show currently happening at the World Trade Center in Pasay City. The centerpiece of its PIMS booth is the all-electric BMW iX, which was launched in the Philippines last May.

The BMW iX comes with the fifth-generation BMW eDrive, which features the BMW xDrive all-wheel drive system, single-speed automatic transmission, and an electric motor that produces 326hp and 630Nm of torque. The BMW iX has a range of up to 425km.

The BMW iX features an aluminum spaceframe construction. Carbon fiber-reinforced plastic is applied on the carbon cage, the roof, and sides to ensure durability and achieve weight reduction.

The iX makes driving more intuitive as it comes with BMW Live Cockpit Professional. It is also equipped with BMW iDrive Operating System 8.0 with smartphone connectivity, Intelligent Voice Assistant, and 18-speaker Harman Kardon surround sound system.

Safety is also guaranteed with the iX’s five cameras, five radar sensors, and 12 ultrasonic sensors. BMW iX also comes standard with Anti-Lock Braking System, Dynamic Stability Control, Hill Descen Control, and Parking Assistant. The iX proved that it is not only efficient, but also reliable by earning a five-star safety rating from Euro NCAP.

BMW iX is priced at P6.29 million. Every purchase comes with a wall box charger, five-year BMW factory warranty, eight-year high-voltage battery warranty, and six-year BMW Service Inclusive warranty.

Also featured at BMW's booth at PIMS are BMW M5 Competition, BMW X5, BMW 5, and BMW 2.
