Suzuki S-Presso automatic can now be reserved, priced at P660K

MANILA: Suzuki Auto Philippines has opened the reservation books for the S-Presso with an automatic transmission and it is priced at  P660,000.

2023 Suzuki S-Presso AGS, new K10C Engine

The 2023 Suzuki S-Presso automatic variant costs P40,000 more than the revised manual transmission variant (P620,000) and includes Suzuki's Auto Gear Shift (AGS) system. The same five-speed manual gearbox is utilized by AGS, but a shift control actuator is computer-controlled. This enables automatic clutch engagement and gear changes.

The advantages of both automatic and manual transmission are combined with AGS. The driver can, for instance, choose between automatic and manual driving modes. Additionally, it includes a Creep Function that is excellent for driving in heavy traffic as well as a Kick-Down function. These are in addition to the two tangible advantages of improved performance and fuel economy (reduced parasitic losses than a torque converter AT).

A new K10C engine also powers the Suzuki S-Presso AGS. Although the engine's 1.0-liter (998cc) displacement produces the same 67 horsepower and 90 Nm of torque, it now has better fuel economy and emissions thanks to a variable valve timing system and Engine Automatic Stop Start, or EASS, technology.

2023 Suzuki S-Presso Exterior

The Suzuki S-Presso has a striking exterior design that is emphasized by its unusual body shape. A sinewy front grille and bumpers highlight its athletic appearance. The hatchback's identity is also enhanced by the headlamps and C-shaped tail lamps. The S-Presso AGS and MT variants are identical as well (they receive standard alloy wheels, body-colored bumpers, and a key-cylinder for the trunk). The 2023 Suzuki S-Presso is available in four colors: Fire Red, Sizzle Orange, White, and Metallic Granite Gray.

The Suzuki S-Presso's center console, which has a distinctive design and is accented by a contemporary digital speedometer, is its most notable feature. Under the infotainment display are the manual air-conditioning system controls and a 12V socket and USB port. Steering wheel controls, a multi-information display with a trip computer, and a new generation touchscreen audio system with built-in Apple CarPlay and Android Auto are all new features inside the hatchback.

Occupants can store small items inside the S-Presso's storage spaces so they can fully enjoy the hatchback's spacious interior. They can save vital documents in the door pocket and open tray. The front and rear console pockets as well as the glove box can be used to store various objects. Since there are cup holders on the front console, drinking coffee while driving should not be an issue. Luggage space, meanwhile, comes from a 239-liter compartment that can even be extended by folding the rear bench seat.

2023 Suzuki S-Presso Safety

The body structure of the S-presso follows Suzuki’s total effective control technology (TECT) concept, which is designed to collect and diffuse the energy that is produced in an unfortunate case of a collision. The TECT concept is developed to achieve enhanced cabin protection for the occupants’ safety. Although it is constructed with a highly durable frame, the Suzuki S-Presso is able to stay light owing to its body structure, which is made from high tensile steel. Along with the two SRS airbags, the S-Presso now has ABS with EBD and Electronic Stability Program (ESP), further enhancing its safety capabilities.
