Audi Philippines launches RS5, S-Line Q2, and Q5

MANILA: Audi Philippines has recently released its potent RS5 along with the S-Line variants of the Q2 and Q5. In the Philippines, it has been noted that high-performance coupes are rare to come by, yet Audi took the step to release the RS5 in the market.

The Audi RS5 is a complete package of power and style. This car, being the RS variant, serves as the top-spec model of Audi A5. The RS5 can easily be said to be packed with incredibly more powerful than any standard model. Its engine is finely co-developed by Porsche, which is 2.9-litre, twin-turbocharged V6. This strong engine enables the car to produce 450 PS of maximum power and 600 Nm of peak torque. Quattro all-wheel drive is standard with more power being sent to the rear wheels. The transmission of the RS5 is quite fast too. Its transmission is an eight-speed automatic which helps propel the car from 0 to 100 kmph in a claimed 3.9 seconds.

To make the RS5 standout from the regular A5 coupes, Audi has given it a more muscular body treatment. With the presence of a unique suspension setting for both front and rear, a wider stance can be seen in the car. To accommodate the changes under the chassis, the RS5 comes with blistered wheel arches with more embossed character lines.

The front of the RS5 is designed in a way that a deeper front apron along with larger air dams at each corner is present. Another interesting aspect of the lower part of the grille is the presence of the word “Quattro”, this is a unique way through which Audi is signifying the presence of an all-wheel drive in its high-performance model. Furthermore, the trunk lip spoiler and integrated rear bumper diffuser round up the changes over the standard A5.

On the other hand, the S-Line versions of the Q2 and Q5 were showcased as well. These two models have received a sporty treatment. Both the models feature a more aerodynamic bumper, larger corner air intake, lower profile alloy wheels and S Line interior trimmings. Both serve as the top spec variants of their respective model lines.
