The all-new Bentley Flying Spur uses a 4.0-liter twin-turbo crossplane V8 paired with a battery and an electric motor.Per the Crewe-based marque, the all-new model received vast improvements to its exterior and interior design. It also wears an evolved form of the nameplate’s muscular but elegant look, and more importantly, it is now propelled by a more potent but also more sustainable powertrain.
Let’s go over the fine details of the next-gen Bentley Flying Spur to find out what it is offering to the luxury car market.
Exterior
As mentioned above, the all-new Flying Spur carries the same squarish stance as the outgoing third-generation model.
Up front, it still bears a quadruple LED headlamp cluster setup, which flanks a massive mesh grille. Underneath are three smaller meshed air intakes, while the upper portion of the front fascia is capped by a sleek bonnet decorated by the familiar “Flying B” hood ornament.
From the side, the vehicle received strategically placed deep character lines, which adds to its dynamic look. Its rear, meanwhile, has a subtle diffuser, a dual exhaust pipe setup, and a pair of eye-catching taillights.
Completing the look of the luxury sedan is a set of 22-inch “ten Swept” bespoke wheels.
Interior
While the exterior looks very identical to the previous version, the interior received a more tech-heavy look thanks to the addition of a new digital instrument cluster and a 12.3-inch high-definition central infotainment display.
Wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto provide smartphone connectivity for the vehicle’s infotainment system. Other tech features inside the all-new luxury sedan include over-the-air software updates, a 10-piece 650-watt sound speaker set, and integration with the new My Bentley App.
Just like the previous version, Bentley ensured the spaciousness of the all-new Flying Spur’s interior. Also enhancing the look and feel of the cabin is a new 3D diamond quilt pattern available for its leather seats, interior door cars, and inner B pillars.
For the comfort of its occupants, the said model was provided with an ionized automatic climate control system and the optional “Wellness Seating Specification” for its seats. Included in the aforementioned are functions that automatically set the posture and temperature of a particular seat for the purpose of reducing fatigue during travel.
Safety
For safety, the all-new Bentley Flying Spur was kitted out with what one would expect from a modern high-performance sedan. Its standard safety kit was also reinforced with a suite of advanced driver-assist systems (ADAS).
Notable features of the Bentley model’s ADAS suite include adaptive cruise control, lane guidance, and Intelligent parking assist, among others.
Powertrain
The crown jewel of the next-gen Flying Spur is Bentley’s Ultra Performance Hybrid powertrain, which consists of a 4.0-liter twin-turbo crossplane V8, an electronic motor, a 25.9-kilowatt-hour lithium-ion battery, and an eight-speed dual-clutch gearbox.
In total, the said system can churn out 771 horsepower and 1,000 Newton-meters of torque. To note, the updated sedan has a maximum output similar to the all-new Continental GT Speed, which also uses the same V8 hybrid powertrain.
Thanks to its engine output, Bentley has touted the model’s ability to accelerate from zero to 100 kilometers per hour in just 3.5 seconds.
Being a hybrid, the aforementioned model provides an electric-only range of 76 kilometers. It likewise uses the British luxury brand’s new “Performance Active Chassis,” which boasts all-wheel-drive, an electronic limited-slip differential, all-wheel-steering, torque vectoring, and a rear-biased weight distribution.

Bentley has yet to reveal the exact pricing details of the all-new Bentley Flying Spur. However, parties from select markets can already make inquiries regarding the vehicle through the brand’s official website.
