BMW PH Unveils 3 Series Touring Featuring M3 Competition

MANILA: The 2023 BMW 3 Series Touring has been formally introduced by the regional BMW distributor SMC Asia Cars Distributors Corp. It has a variety of variations, power outputs, and that sleek long-roof style.

The starting price for the 2023 BMW 3 Series Touring is P3.890 million for the 318i Touring, P5.890 million for the M340i Touring xDrive, and P10.490 million for the M3 Touring Competition xDrive.

The 3 Series Touring combines utility with BMW's distinctive elegance. The exterior improvements are identical to those made to the previously redesigned 318i and include attractive LED daytime running lights and kidney grilles. For the entry-level 318i, enthusiasts will be happy to find that BMW has kept the classic kidney grilles, giving it a classy and sophisticated design. The M340i and M3 Touring versions come with different grilles and distinguishing stylistic cues for customers who prefer a more sporty and aggressive appearance.

The 12.3-inch instrument panel and 14.9-inch touchscreen infotainment system of the Live Cockpit Plus system, which is installed inside the 3 Series Touring, take center stage. This system's iDrive OS 8.0-powered integration of satellite navigation, music controls, and three-zone automatic climate control is smooth. A wide range of additional options are included in the 3 Series Touring, including wireless Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, Bluetooth connectivity, Sensatec perforated upholstery, USB-C charging points, power-adjustable front seats, and a power tailgate.

Thanks to their capacity varying from 500 to 1,510 liters, the 40:20:40 split-rear seats offer flexible cargo room for everything from groceries to bulkier items.

The entry-level model in the lineup is the 318i, which is powered by a good 2.0-liter TwinPower Turbo four-cylinder engine that generates 250 Nm of torque and 156 horsepower. An eight-speed Steptronic automatic transmission delivers power to the rear wheels while offering a comfortable and effective ride.

Under the hood, the 2023 BMW 3 Series Touring offers three engine options to suit various preferences. The 3.0 liter TwinPower Turbo inline-six engine in the 2023 BMW 3 Series Touring M340i xDrive is available for individuals who want more power. With a powerful 374 horsepower and 500 Nm of torque, this vehicle provides thrilling performance. The M340i xDrive can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in just 4.6 seconds when combined with an eight-speed automatic transmission and all-wheel drive, making for an exhilarating driving experience.

The 2023 BMW M3 Touring, a present from BMW M to commemorate their 50th anniversary, is the apex of the lineup. This car's 3.0-liter TwinPower Turbo inline-six engine, which has been upgraded, produces an astounding 510 horsepower and 650 Nm of torque. The M3 Touring accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in an impressive 3.6 seconds thanks to an eight-speed automatic transmission that sends power to all four wheels.

The electronically regulated peak speed of 250 km/h can be increased to an astonishing 280 km/h with the M Driver's Package. The M3 Touring also comes equipped with a number of M-specific upgrades, including M Traction Control, M Drift Analyzer, M Lap timer, and the M Mode button for customized driving experiences.
