BYD Atto 3 now part of BPITCRC fleet

An Atto 3 has joined BPI Tokyo Century Rental Corporation’s (BPITCRC) fleet after the company forged a partnership with BYD Cars Philippines.

The collaboration led to the electric vehicle’s (EV) availability to be rented or leased via Diamond Rent A Car (BPITCRC’s car rental and leasing arm, and considered as one of the largest car rental firms locally).

The collaboration agreement between BYD Cars Philippines and BPITCRC shall allow the two brands to conduct joint marketing programs and activities with the BYD Atto 3, which include:

• EV Full-Service Operating Lease
• Product development
• Short-term rentals
• Floor plan financing

Aside from that, both firms will also cooperatively develop other programs to further synergize their sustainability initiatives.

“We believe the experience of driving a BYD electric vehicle is essential to building a knowledge-driven market,” ACMobility Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Jaime Alfonso Zobel de Ayala.

“Introducing innovation and technology is always challenging, especially when they are as groundbreaking as BYD’s electric vehicles. ACMobility, through BYD Cars Philippines, has partnered with BPI Tokyo Century to make access to BYD’s technologically superior, feature-rich, and safe electric vehicles easier for the public. The more people are aware of the virtues and rewards of sustainable mobility through electric vehicles, and the more they experience the ACMobility charging ecosystem firsthand, the easier it will be for us to progress towards an all-electric mobility future,” he added.

For his part, BPITCRC President and CEO Satoshi Matsuo sees the partnership as a significant milestone in the car rental industry.

“The BYD Atto 3 is a highly sought-after electric vehicle. Having it in our fleet allows us to provide our customers with a trial experience of a BYD EV in the hope of reinforcing their decision to go electric. Aside from being the first to provide a one-of-a-kind EV rental and leasing service with BYD vehicles, we are also one with ACMobility and BYD Cars Philippines in their vision of providing sustainable mobility for Filipinos,” he noted.

The public may contact Diamond Rent A Car to book a short-term rental or inquire about leasing options for the BYD Atto 3. 

To note, the vehicle is powered by a permanent magnet synchronous motor that produces up to 210 horsepower and 310 Newton-meters of torque that lets it accelerate from zero-100 kilometers per hour in 7.3 seconds.

Its BYD Blade Battery — when fully charged  — allows the vehicle to cover up to 480 kilometers.

 Available in Surf Blue, Parkour Red, Boulder Grey, and Ski White body color options, the BYD Atto 3 (which was launched late last year) is retailed in two variants: the standard range Dynamic and the extended range Premium.
