Chery PH debuts all-new Tiggo 7 Pro, full details revealed

MANILA: Chery Auto Philippines asserts that it remains customer-centric, while maintaining a focus on a new group of buyers who prioritize value but want supreme features and more luxury in their vehicles.

It is this particular group that Chery targets with its all-new Tiggo 7 Pro compact crossover which it launched last January 27 in a virtual event conducted via Facebook Live.

Auto enthusiasts and potential car buyers first had a glimpse of the all-new Tiggo 7 Pro during the digital version of the Manila International Auto Show (MIAS Wired) last December 2020, but the complete details on the new vehicle were revealed yesterday.

The European-inspired all-new Tiggo 7 Pro flaunts an aggressive road presence with elegant-looking, slim LED headlamps and a large, bold grille. The daytime running lights (DRLs) and foglamps are both LEDs for cutting-edge road illumination. 

More top-of-the-line design features include large 18-inch alloy wheels with comfort-focused 225/60R18 tires, exceptional character lines, and a floating roof effect attained through the presence of black wrap-around rear pillars.

The rear is consistent with the elegant theme as it has a red strip which connects the taillights — comparable to the treatment seen in some luxury German SUVS.

Attractively incorporated chrome-tipped dual tailpipes and a rear spoiler improve the upscale look and visual performance of the all-new Tiggo 7 Pro.

Under the hood is a new-generation1.5-liter turbocharged DOHC 16-valve, Euro 5-compliant, four-cylinder engine mated with an all-new nine-speed continuously variable transmission (CVT).

The cabin is leather-covered and reflects a similar upscale build quality and features as well as the luxurious design shown by its exterior. Extensive side supports on the power-adjustable front seats provide excellent comfort during long road trips and exhibit an athletic bucket seat style.

A large 10.25-inch touchscreen six-speaker infotainment system is also present. It includes USB connectivity, Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, Mirror Link, and Bluetooth.

A touch panel regulates the air-conditioning system, which further highlights the exquisite car feel.

The Smart Key is one luxury car-like feature of the Tiggo 7 Pro. It not only starts the engine but it can also open the windows and tailgate as well as turn on the aircon with the push of a button.

The Tiggo 7 Pro also has wireless smartphone charging and three USB ports for increased onboard connectivity with different gadgets.

Other excellent Tiggo 7 features include a completely digital instrument cluster, a rear camera with rear and front proximity sensors, a tire pressure monitoring system, a push-button electronic parking brake, a power tailgate, a 360-degree HD camera, multi-color cabin ambient lighting, welcome lights, and a panoramic sunroof.

The range of safety features in the Tiggo 7 Pro include Isofix child-seat tethers, hill descent control, hill assist control, traction control system, electronic brake assist, electronic stability program, electronic brakeforce distribution, and anti-lock braking system.

It also includes a brake override system, which instantaneously overrides the throttle when the brake and gas pedals are accidentally and simultaneously lowered.

The vehicle is also fitted with an emergency signal system, which activates the hazard lights when the driver unexpectedly steps on the brakes at increased speed.

The new Tiggo 7 Pro is deemed an even more compelling package with the auto brand’s free three-year roadside assistance, free three-year preventive maintenance service (PMS), a five-year/150,000-km general vehicle warranty, and a standard 10-year/one million-km engine warranty.

The all-new Chery Tiggo 7 Pro is priced at P1,198,000 and it comes in Sporty White, Radiant Red, Blazing Black, and Brilliant Teal colors.
