Could this be the new Subaru Forester?

MANILA: Probable photos of the new Subaru Forester have been leaked online prior to its launch tomorrow at the Los Angeles Auto Show.

A Reddit post revealed images of the front and the rear of what could be the sixth-generation Forester. A link to a gallery of 49 photos was also shared in the comments, showing all angles of the new model.

The possible new Forester seems to have a boxier form compared to its predecessor. One of the photos shows a “Touring” inscription, which could be the top-of-the-line model, while another shows a “Sport” inscription on the rear.

Based on the images, the Touring variant has silver wheels, while the Sport model is fitted with bronze wheels.

Interior photos are also included in the gallery, showing that the vehicle is equipped with the same infotainment touchscreen as the latest WRX, Outback, Impreza, and Crosstrek models.

It also appears that the new model will have less physical controls and there will be USB-C ports and a wireless phone charger.

Based on the photos that show what's underneath the hood, it seems that the vehicle is equipped with the same 2.5-liter four-cylinder Boxer petrol engine as the current model. However, there are reports that the sixth-gen Forester is going to have a 2.0-liter hybrid option as well.

Subaru will confirm the full details of the new Forester at its reveal tomorrow.
