Ford EcoSport BLACK Edition Debarks @ 2016 MIAS

MANILA: Ford EcoSport is a well-known crossover present in the Philippines market. It ranks third on Ford's sales chart that is presently ruled by Ford Everest and Ranger respectively. Constantly, these cars are doing a great job and are successfully earning big market share for the band. Supporting this fact is the 52% sales growth witnessed by Ford in February 2016. Well, it seems that this automaker is not yet satisfied and further wants to achieve greater heights in the auto industry. In order to fulfill its desired goal, Ford Philippines has introduced a new Black Edition to EcoSport lineup.

Yes, you read it right, a new trim of EcoSport is currently on display at the Manila International Auto Show and will soon make it to the showrooms near you. Just for an update, the EcoSport Black Edition before reaching the Philippines shore rested a while at the soon wrapped Bangkok International Auto Show. Where it proved to the major crowd grabber for Ford and received a hell lot of likes. All this hinting towards a good sales year for Ford both on the global and local front.

'All Black' is what EcoSport Black Edition is all about, in addition to the obvious black implantation's, its exterior too is tweaked a bit. This rugged name is supported by masculine cosmetic modifications like black coated grille, alloy wheels, roof rail and ORVM. These aforementioned black splashed components look great in combinations with body colors like Candy Red, Frozen White, Mars Red, Ingot Silver, Winning Blue and Lunar Sky. The said additions are stuffed with all high-end features present in the Titanium trim, so you'll get to see features like - Dual Halogen Headlamp with Light Guide, Heated Rear Screen, Fuel Filler with Non-locking Cap, Rain Sensitive Wipers, and Home Safe Headlamp.

Likewise, the cabin area of the new EcoSport Black Edition is not tweaked even by an inch and is stuffed with all features one expect to get with the top EcoSport trim. Power Sunroof, Electronic Air Temperature Control, Leather Upholstery, Cooled Glove Box, SYNC with Bluetooth and Voice Control, AM/FM/MP3/AUX-in/USB/iPOD and x6 speakers, is all you can expect to catch hold when buying Black tagged EcoSport.

It seems that Black Edition DNA has restricted itself to only some minor exterior modifications without affecting the mill resting within. Without saying much, EcoSport Black Edition like the Titanium, Trend, and Ambient runs on a 1.5L TiVCT In-line 4 cylinder mill, pouring out 110 PS @ 6300 rpm of maximum power along with 142 Nm @ 4500 rpm of peak torque. On the transmission front, Black Edition copies Titanium trim and features a six-speed automatic gearbox.

The price of same is not yet disclosed, but we are sure to witness a slight hike over the available EcoSport Titanium variant.
