GAC Emzoom breaches 2.5K sales milestone in PH

MANILA: Fresh from breaching the-1,500 sales milestone a few months back, the Philippine-spec GAC GS3 Emzoom has immediately broken the 2,500-unit retail mark.

GAC (Guangzhou Automobile Group Company) Motor Philippines shared in a statement that as of October 31 this year, 2,513 Emzoom vehicles have been rolled out to customers since its introduction on June 30 of the previous year.

To recall, the Astara-led automotive distributor hit the 1,500-unit sales milestone for the GAC GS3 Emzoom last June — four months after celebrating the nameplate’s launch anniversary.

“It had not been so long ago when the GAC Motor Philippines team was celebrating the 1,500 units sold milestone, and now we are absolutely thrilled to welcome another 1,000 new Pinoys into the Emzoom community. It’s a testament to the growing trust and preference of Filipino consumers for our innovative and high-quality vehicles,” GAC Motor Philippines Brand Head Franz Decloedt was quoted as saying.

“We’re committed to providing exceptional customer experiences and delivering vehicles such as the GAC Emzoom crossover line that offer outstanding value, comfort, and performance,” the local executive added.

Powering the Emzoom is a 1.5 TGDI engine mated to a seven-speed wet dual clutch transmission that can deliver a peak of 175 horses and 270 Newton-meters.

Milestone model recipient

Per GAC Motor Philippines, the milestone unit is an Emzoom Touring both bought by Danzen Gabriel, a lighting director for a national television network.

Revealed to the local market last August, the said trim is the spruced-up version of the model’s GB variant that comes with the same styling as the R-Style — but at a more budget-friendly price.

“After considering various options, I was drawn to the GAC Emzoom’s sporty looks and comfortable interior,” the owner noted. “Despite being a five-seater, it feels incredibly spacious, and the ride is incredibly smooth."

Although considering another GAC model, Gabriel took the Emzoom for style, comfort, and practicality considerations.

"The Touring is a great daily driver for me, with which I can drop off my kids at school and use it as my main means of transportation to work. People are always drawn to this stunning car, and my colleagues are also considering getting their own Emzoom, too. I'm looking forward to meeting up and joining activities with my fellow Emzoom owners.”

Just like any GAC Motor Philippines offerings, the Emzoom is packaged with a five-year or 150,000-kilometer warranty as well as a free 24/7 emergency roadside for the first year.
