GAC M6 Pro to be unveiled this month

MANILA: Fresh from the launch of the all-new M8, GAC Motor Philippines is already set to reveal another model — the M6 Pro.

Based on the invitation sent to Zigwheels Philippines, the Chinese automaker’s multi-purpose vehicle (which is part of the six models intended to be introduced to the country within the year) will be formally revealed on March 22.

To note, the Astara Philippines first gave a sneak preview of the upcoming seven-seater as early as December last year — alongside the M8.

During the preview, GAC Motor Philippines Brand Head Franz Decloedt shared some details about the soon-to-be-retailed model.

According to him, the arriving model boasts best-in-class features and offers the latest security technology as well as a comfortable cabin.

Exterior highlights of the GAC M6 Pro includes LED multi-function automatic headlamps and daytime running lamps, rear fog lamps, power-adjustable side mirrors, rain-sensing front wipers, rear-parking sensors, and surround view camera. It sits on 18-inch wheels.

Meanwhile, the GAC M6 Pro’s cabin features a rich amount of leather appointments fitted on the seats and steering wheel. In addition, the vehicle also comes with dual-zone air-conditioning system, rearview mirror with anti-glare system, six-way adjustable seats for the driver and four-way manual- adjustable second-row chairs, as well as ambient lighting and panoramic sunroof.

Other amenities fitted in the GAC M6 pro are the 10.25-inch multi-functional touchscreen that is Apple-Carplay ready, has Bluetooth handsfree system, mated to an eight-speaker set-up; seven-inch digital instrument cluster; multiple USB ports (A and C); a 12-volt outlet; and passive entry and start system.

Guaranteeing safety and security are the dual front and curtain airbags, electronic stability control, hill-start hold and hill descent control, electronic parking brake with autohold function, tire pressure monitoring system, engine immobilizer, and its own first aid kit, among others.

Powering the upcoming GAC M6 Pro will be a 1.5-liter turbocharged gasoline engine that can deliver 174 horsepower and 270 Newton-meters of torque.

Its supposed exact retail price has yet to be shared but Decloedt shared earlier that the M6 Pro’s pricing will be around P1.2-P1.6 million.
