GAC Motor PH has sold over 3k cars from Jan-Nov 2024

MANILA: GAC (Guangzhou Automobile Group Company Limited) Motors Philippines, under the distributorship of Astara Philippines, has sold 3,060 cars from January-November 2024. The aforementioned is equivalent to a 79 percent increase compared to the same period last year. 

When it comes to per-unit performance, the Emzoom leads the charge for the Chinese marque’s local arm, with 1,987 units sold in the said period. Since the launch of the M8 and M6 Pro earlier this year, the company likewise managed to sell 215 and 283 units, respectively. 

GAC Motors Philippines didn’t provide exact numbers, but the recently introduced Emkoo Hybrid was also given recognition as a cutting-edge crossover that has already “captivated a wide range of customers.” The Astara-led firm likewise described the Emkoo Hybrid as a representative of the brand’s commitment to sustainable but peppy performance. 

Moreover, GAC’s local arm attributed its strong performance in the first 11 months of 2024 to its 32 dealerships nationwide. Currently, the brand has showrooms in the following locations:

The brand’s latest product, the Emkoo Hybrid, is currently sold in the Philippine market with a price of P1.698 million. It uses a 2.0-liter powertrain capable of producing up to 238 horsepower, and it boasts a total operating range (from a single full tank) of 1,100 kilometers.
