MANILA: Hyundai Motor Philippines (HMPH) has announced the available hues for the Ioniq 5 and Ioniq 6 electric vehicles (EV).

The Hyundai Ioniq 6 is priced at P3.798 million.Per the local wing of the South Korean carmaker, the Hyundai Ioniq 5 is available in four captivating colors: Phantom Black Pearl, Cyber Gray Metallic, Atlas White, and Gravity Gold Matte.
Car buyers can also option their Hyundai Ioniq 5 rides with their choice of interior trim, which can either be Black or Gray.
On the other hand, the Hyundai Ioniq 6 comes with eight enticing finishes: Abyss Black Pearl, Serenity White Pearl, Curated Silver Metallic, Gravity Gold Matte, Nocturne Gray Matte, Biophilic Blue Pearl, Digital Green Pearl, and Ultimate Red Metallic.
They can be complemented with the customers’ choice of either a Black or Dark Gray interior trim.
The said exterior colors can be mixed and matched with the available interior colors, HMPH noted.
Those asking for the prices of Hyundai’s premium EVs wil be happy to know that they have retained their respective price tags. The Ioniq 5, for example, is priced at P3.068 million for the Standard Range model and P3.698 million for the Long Range variant.
Meanwhile, the Hyundai Ioniq 6 will set car buyers back P3.798 million.
It is not mentioned, but the announced palette for the electric Hyundai cars could be part of the moves HMPH is making to further promote their product.
To recall, the Hyundai Ioniq 5 and Ioniq 6 both made an appearance at the 11th Philippine Electric Vehicle Summit, where HMPH revealed that a purchase of either will come with a free installation of a 7.4-kilowatt AC charger.
In the same way, HMPH said that it has deployed a roving Hyundai Ioniq 5 in the metro to showcase its Vehicle-to-Vehicle and Vehicle-to-Load recharging functions.
True enough, the South Korean brand faces tough competition against the growing number of Chinese EVs that offer Filipino car buyers with a more affordable means of switching to a greener, cleaner means of moving.
For comparison’s sake, the Ayala-managed BYD revealed the reduced pricing of its EV offerings, which will cost the Filipino EV adopter as low as P1.398.
