Here comes the 3rd-gen Range Rover Sport

MANILA: The new Land Rover Range Rover Sport revolutionizes sporting luxury by blending Range Rover luxury, modern aesthetic elegance, and connected convenience with aggressive and intuitive on-road performance. The third-generation model is the most sought-after, innovative, and dynamically powerful model yet.

The new Range Rover Sport comes in three trim levels: SE, SE Dynamic, and Autobiography. A First Edition variant is also available in the first year of production, with a specially curated specification.

With sleek surfacing, muscular stance, and eye-catching profile, the sophisticated exterior is indisputably Range Rover Sport, superbly enhanced by stealth-like craftsmanship and imposing dimensions – creating the impression that the vehicle is ready and prepared.

The new Range Rover Sport is built on Land Rover's Electrical Vehicle Architecture (EVA 2.0) that offers an ecosystem of linked technologies, including Software Over The Air (SOTA). The smart system allows 63 electronic modules to be updated remotely, ensuring that the new Range Rover Sport stays at the forefront of technological innovation, modern technology and services throughout its life.

“Living with the new Range Rover Sport couldn’t be easier thanks to its suite of connected technologies. Our award-winning Pivi Pro infotainment is at the heart of the experience and its haptic, curved floating touchscreen provides intuitive control of the vehicle systems. To help drivers maintain their focus, embedded Amazon Alexa voice AI is on hand, so customers can keep their eyes on the road and hands on the wheel while doing anything from setting the navigation and placing calls to selecting media sources,” Jaguar Land Rover Electrical Engineering Director Alex Heslop said.

The award-winning Pivi Pro infotainment system includes a 13.1-inch floating curved touchscreen placed at the center of the futuristic dashboard. It learns the user's behaviors and automatically personalizes the onboard experience, becoming a fully intuitive personal assistant that controls everything from navigation to media and vehicle settings.

Meanwhile, Amazon Alexa adds a new level of convenience, allowing the driver to operate different settings and features with natural voice commands, eliminating the potential of being distracted. Alexa is integrated in Pivi Pro and  can be accessed by saying "Alexa" or pressing the Alexa button on the touchscreen. The smart voice AI even incorporates the use of Alexa devices at home through the Land Rover smartphone app and Remote Skills.

The latest driver-centric Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) add to the new Range Rover Sport's dynamic performance and elegance. All variants come standard with Emergency Braking, 3D Surround Camera with front and rear parking sensors, Wade Sensing, ClearSight Ground View, Maneuvering Lights, Cruise Control, Driver Condition Monitor, Lane Keep Assist, and Traffic Sign Recognition.

The Range Rover Sport performance is delivered by a diverse range of electrified powertrains, which includes an extended Electric Hybrid, two six-cylinder Ingenium gasoline engines with mild hybrid technology, and an all-new V8 Twin Turbo. A fully electric variant is set to be released in 2024.

The new Range Rover Sport is Land Rover's most dynamically capable luxury performance SUV ever, as well as the most competent off-road. Intelligent All-Wheel Drive (iAWD) works with the newest all-terrain innovations and technologies to guarantee its breadth of dynamic performance.

“New Range Rover Sport vehicle’s advanced chassis dynamics feed into its immense capability away from the tarmac, utilizing its hardware and software to full effect. It is the first Land Rover vehicle to feature our new Adaptive Off-Road Cruise Control, which has been engineered to help drivers focus on steering the vehicle by providing consistent and comfortable progress across rough terrain,” Jaguar Land Rover Vehicle Line Director Rory O’Murchu stated.

Adaptive Off-Road Cruise Control is an evolution of All-Terrain Progress Control, allowing the driver to select the preferred speed and comfort level over uneven surfaces from four options. It is the first Land Rover model to have this feature, bringing improved off-road performance by letting the driver concentrate only on driving the vehicle over rough terrain.

The new Land Rover Range Rover Sport will be built alongside the new Range Rover at the Solihull Manufacturing Facility in the United Kingdom, on a state-of-the-art production line situated in the same building as early Series Land Rovers models. The historic site is Land Rover's spiritual home, and its transformation into a new, ultra-modern production facility for Range Rover and Range Rover Sport shows the company's commitment to preserving and celebrating its legacy.
