MANILA: Hyundai Motor, in cooperation with Hilton Grand Vacations (HGV), has introduced a program designed to enhance the travel experience for the car company’s clients who are visiting Hawaii’s major tourist destinations.

KEY TAKEAWAYS

  • Who is eligible for the “Hyundai Mobility Passport in Kona” program?

Hilton Grand Vacations members, as well as Japanese guests, are eligible to sign up for the “Hyundai Mobility Passport in Kona” program.
  • What is Hilton Grand Vacations?

Hilton Grand Vacations is a Hilton-affiliated vacation home ownership company that functions like a timeshare program.
  • Through HGV, customers from Korea who have bought a Kona electric vehicle (EV), Ioniq 5, 5 N, or 6 within the promo period will be offered a three-night Hawaii vacation package after going through a membership orientation from the tourism and hospitality company.

Furthermore, HGV members, as well as guests from Japan who are visiting The Aloha State until August 31, 2025, can take advantage of the “Hyundai Mobility Passport in Kona.” Specifically, the said clients staying in HGV resorts located in Waikoloa, Hawaii, can register through a special website in order to get behind the wheel of an Ioniq 5 or Kona EV lend-out vehicle.

Per Hyundai, the aforementioned initiatives will invigorate the EV market. It likewise promotes eco-friendly tourism since it allows customers to explore the island state using an emissions-free Hyundai car model.

Hyundai’s cooperation with HGV may also boost customer satisfaction and elevate the Korean car maker’s brand image. All the while, the program also falls in line with the brand’s vision to promote “progress for humanity” through the proliferation of sustainable mobility.

To note, HGV and Hyundai’s partnership was initially announced in July 2024. The initiatives mentioned above are among the new programs brought about by the strategic alliance.

In the Philippine market, Hyundai Motor Motor Philippines Incorporated’s lineup of EV models includes the Ioniq 5, 5N, and 6.

Price-wise, the Ioniq 5 is available locally for P3.068 million as the Standard Range variant and P3.698 million for the Long Range top-spec trim. The sole trim of the Ioniq 5 N for the local market, meanwhile, is priced at P4.25 million. On the other hand, the 6 GLS is offered for P3.798 million.
