Per Hyundai, the slight decline in its global sales was linked to “uncertainties” with regard to global inflation and interest rates. The company also cited “slower market expectations” within the automotive industry. Despite the challenges, the automaker saw strong sales momentum in North America.
Similar to its sister brand, Kia, Hyundai also disclosed its sales target for 2025. Specifically, it is looking to achieve a global sales figure of 4.17 million units. To accomplish the said goal, it is looking to optimize its model lineup, as well as its supply chain, for every region it is currently covering.
Last year, Hyundai also achieved a list of significant milestones, the biggest of which was the rollout of its 100-millionth vehicle from its Ulsan plant. Additionally, the brand’s valuation also climbed to $23 billion (around P1.377 trillion) last year.
Locally, Hyundai Motor Philippines Incorporated also expanded its lineup with the local introduction of the Tucson hybrid version, the all-new Santa Fe, and the Ioniq 5 and Elantra N versions.
