Hyundai showcases 2021 Elantra global premiere video recap
MANILA: On April 15, Hyundai officially launched the video recap of the all-new 2021 Elantra and Elantra Hybrid World Premiere held last March 17 at The Lot Studios in West Hollywood, California. The global event was broadcasted worldwide, and an interactive video has been produced to capture the attributes of the Elantra.
The event commenced with a digital stage showing an array of dancers and flying acrobats moving to the beat of lively music. The imagery and large video wall livened up the launch of the 2021 Hyundai Elantra.
After the production number, the president and CEO of Hyundai North America, Jose Muñoz, explained the importance of the Elantra to the international product lineup of the automobile brand. The president and head of the R&D Division of Hyundai Motor and Kia Motors, Albert Biermann, spearheaded the presentation of the first-ever Elantra Hybrid. During the world premiere, some of the exceptional features of the two models, such as its hybrid electric vehicle technology, bold design, and segment-first wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity, were emphasized.
The Hyundai Digital Key was presented, which enables the Elantra to be locked, unlocked, started, and driven up to 27 meters even without using a physical key. The driver only needs an NFC card or a smartphone to execute the functions of the digital key.
The improved natural-language voice-recognition system, which includes speech-to-meaning and deep meaning understanding advancements, was also highlighted along with its numerous controls. Aside from this, the new Hyundai models also feature two accessible 10.25-inch multimedia screens integrated into a single piece of glass.
The Elantra also has an “immersive cocoon” interior design that surrounds the driver like an airplane cockpit. Its "Parametric Dynamics" layout composed of rule-breaking triangles was also emphasized. Along with this, the more prominent external features of the Hyundai models such as a lower roofline, broader stance, and longer wheelbase were revealed during the event.
Hyundai also revealed the combined fuel economy of the Elantra Hybrid model, which is estimated to be more than 21kpl. The engine and motor provide powerful torque for a dynamic driving experience.
Topping off the global launch were explanations of the Hyundai SmartSense technologies that allow drivers, passengers, and pedestrians to be kept away from danger while on the road.
To culminate the event, Hyundai confirmed the development of the Elantra new performance N-Line variant.
