Is this the new Mazda CX-3?

MANILA: Mazda, one of the many Japanese car manufacturers has posted a teaser image on its social media handles captioned “Mazda’s new SUV will break cover at the 2019 Geneva International Auto Show”. Slated to be unveiled at the upcoming 2019 Geneva International Motor Show, the SUV is a mystery to everyone.

The teaser image doesn’t help either as it shows only the rear end of the mystery SUV, and that too dipped in complete darkness. The only elements visible are the LED taillights and stop light at the top of the tailgate. Teasers bring along rumours and speculations, don’t they? And so has this one.

While Mazda has not said a word about which car is in the image, the experts of the automobile industry are guessing that this could be the new CX-3. It doesn’t end there though and some has predicted it to be the all-new CX-4. Hand on, there are also people who say this could be the new CX-6.

What Mazda has said is that the new SUV will follow a mature Kodo design language. Moreover, the mystery SUV will also be featuring the new SkyActiv-Vehicle architecture. Featuring the 'Spark Plug Controlled Compression Ignition' (SPCCI) tech, new SkyActiv will be powering this upcoming crossover.

Mazda has also cited that the new crossover will join the league of new generation models that was started by the new Mazda3. We also expect the new crossover to come with the performance capabilities of a gasoline engine along with the economy of a diesel-fed motor courtesy the new SkyActiv mills.

Equipped with the G-Vectoring Control and numerous updates, the Mazda CX-5 will also be displayed at the upcoming 2019 Geneva International Motor Show along with the mystery SUV.
