Isuzu Half-Yearly Sales Report - mu-X Becomes Highest Contributor
MANILA: In the past and coming few days, the Philippines auto newspaper will be filled with articles concerning to sales report. It's an unsaid custom not only here but globally, where each and every auto company reviews its half-yearly performance. The said performance card serves several purposes -
- Firstly, it gives the concerned auto manufacture a good idea of the distance it has covered on its goal path. And then accordingly, they plan their future strategies.
- Secondly, these reports often become a good marketing platform, where car companies get to highlight their performance and top creations.
- Lastly, with all automakers open with their report card. They get to know their respective competitors’ status that further motivate them to work hard to surpass them.
Well, over the past few days we have shown you, Ford Philippines applauding 61% incremented sales report. And the freshly analysed Mitsubishi Philippines 21 % hiked sales performance. Now, the next car company that is done with its performance review is Isuzu Philippines. Though, in comparison to Ford and Mitsubishi, you'll find that Isuzu's total units sold were a bit less but the brand has performed way better over its last year performance.
Highlighting features of Isuzu's 2016 half-yearly performance -
1. Improvement over the past performance -
In total Isuzu Philippines sold out 13,258 units in the period of first six months of 2016. This means that the brand has shown a 30.4% increase in its performance in comparison to the same period last year.
2. Overall performance in the Philippines automotive market -
According to Chamber of Automotive Manufacturers of the Philippines and Truck Manufacturers Association, Isuzu Philippines has shown more acceleration than the overall Philippines auto industry. Where the auto market witnessed a growth of 27.4% over 2015, Isuzu Philippines ring the bell with a good 30.4% growth.
3. Light commercial vehicle performance -
Isuzu light commercial vehicle line-up performed well in the said phase. Starting off with April 2016 top player Crosswind, the hulk sold a total of 2,361 units over the said time frame, thus bringing it to a total increment of 20.4% over last year. Next up is D-MAX, the same car that recently won the fuel-efficiency run conducted by Department of Energy. The said pick-up showed a total increment of 34.3% and achieved a sales figure of 1,897 units.
4. Top-performer in mid-year sales -
The car that sold the maximum number of units amongst Isuzu large fleet is none other than mu-X. We don't know whether it’s the new garnet red color or the promos running around it, but whatever it is, it has surely shown a positive effect on mu-x sales chart. The mid-term analysis shows a total increment of 30.7 % has been registered on its part with total sales of 6,297 units. If we talk about segment wise distribution, in the sports utility segment mu-X has occupied 29% of market share.
5. Heavy- duty vehicle performance -
This time around Isuzu heavy-duty vehicle lineup displayed an exceptional performance. On this achievement, Isuzu Philippines Corporation President, Hajime Koso, was heard stating that "With many of Isuzu products are geared toward business use, the growth is also an accurate indication of the market’s optimistic view regarding the economy." Topping the list in this segment is Category V trucks with 833.3 % sales hike. They are then followed by Category IV buses, Category III commercial trucks and Category IV trucks. In total, this segment old 2,703 units that give it a 36.7 % jump over last year performance.
