Isuzu Philippines Sales Data Out – Sold 6579 units in 2016 Q1
MANILA: April 2016 is almost over and with this, the automotive companies are busy collecting the data of their sales figures of the past quarter to flaunt in front of the customers and auto critics. Earlier this month, Chamber of Automotive Manufacturers of the Philippines, Inc. (CAMPI) revealed the overall sales stats of commercial and passenger vehicles in the Philippines, which revealed that Toyota Motors is still leading in the sales chart with a market share of 39.92 percent, which is indeed a big piece of the pie. After this report was out, Mitsubishi which managed to capture the second lead with 19.2 percent, made its internal report public stating that it has experienced a growth of 22 percent in comparison to the quarter 1 sales of 2015. Mitsubishi gave the credits to its Montero Sport and Mirage G4 stating that these 2 drives have been the bestseller in the quarter 1 in the passenger cars segment, which led the company to achieve this growth.
The latest automaker to reveal its Q1 sales report is the Japanese brand Isuzu, which is in global existence since 1934, but stepped in the Philippines approximately 2 decades ago. Isuzu Philippines has proudly made its Q1 sales data public by mentioning that it has achieved a tremendous growth of 32.7 percent in this quarter in comparison to the Q1 of 2015. Indeed impressive! Isuzu Philippines Corporation (IPC) has excitedly shared this big news by citing that it has been the best jump since the company arrived in the Philippines. Detailing the sales figures, Isuzu has revealed that it sold 6579 vehicles in 2016 Q1, which was 4957 units in the 2015 Q1. The company has dedicated the success, especially to the mu-X and Crosswind, which showed the maximum contribution in this data. Not only the cumulative figures are impressive but, individually also they sound equally good. The best month has been March 2016 so far with an individual growth of whooping 27.1 percent with total sales of 2437 units. The company also managed to grow 12.9 percent more in March in comparison to February this year. Seems like March was the Lucky month for Isuzu!
But was it just a co-incidence or a well-planned market strategy, which gave a power boost to the sales of the company? Making a March strategy was not an easy task for the company since other automakers were also in the fight to end the fiscal year with some good sales figures, Isuzu started with its promos, special offers, and various schemes to attract the customers. The company also offered irresistible discounts on labour and service of the Isuzu vehicles for a limited time period which again grabbed some more attention.
After this shooting success on the sales chart seems like Isuzu Philippines has no time to take rest and with more passion and aggression, it is promoting its fleet to get similar or better figures to make its contemporary jealous and stand strong in the hierarchy. Let's see if the company maintains this lead and shows impressive figures by the end of 2016 Q2 or enjoys this as a one-time success!
