Jaguar Philippines launched E-Pace at MIAS 2018

MANILA: At the 2018 Manila International Auto Show, Jaguar has launched its premium compact crossover, E-pace. The car will be serving as Jaguar’s smallest crossover offering.

The Jaguar E-Pace is already being compared with the likes of the Audi Q3, BMW X1, and Mercedes-Benz GLA. The car is said to be a smaller version of the F-Pace. The E-Pace has drawn inspiration from the flagship F-Type coupe. It comes with a front fascia and has a similar style of headlights and front grille design as the Jaguar E-Pace.

Another similarity that has been observed between the two is the similar-shaped side air intakes on the front bumper along with the distinct side vent trim pieces. The styling of the taillights, rear quarter window kink, and rear bumper design also resembles the two. The cabin of E-Pace has also been given a similar treatment as the one of F-Pace.

The crossover’s interior has an exquisite sporty layout. The car is covered with soft-touch materials along with heaps leather, metal trim, and gloss black accents. A 12.3-inch digital instrument panel and a 10-inch TouchPro infotainment system are installed in the car. The car is also equipped with in-car features like navigation, Bluetooth, AM/FM radio, 6-speaker audio system, voice control, two-zone climate control, Jaguar drive control, cruise control, and eco-driving style assistant.

To make the car powerful, a 2.0-litre turbo-diesel that puts out 150 PS has been installed. A nine-speed automatic transmission comes as standard on the 2018 E-Pace that drives the front wheels.

The price of the 2018 Jaguar E-Pace is Php 4.290 million. This is being said to be the most interesting aspect of all as the car is offering a price range that none of its competitors are currently offering. Thereby, Jaguar is undercutting many of its direct competitors from German brands.
