Lamborghini Urus Performante makes dynamic debut at Autodromo Vallelunga
MANILA: The Lamborghini Urus Performante makes its dynamic debut before international press and dealers at Autodromo Vallelunga in Rome, Italy. The new Performante version of the Urus Super SUV once again demonstrated its capabilities in its home country on both tarmac and dirt tracks, having already established a new official standard by setting the production SUV Pikes Peak record in a time of 10:32:064 — 17 seconds faster than the previous record holder.

Lamborghini Urus Performante has already set a record in the production SUV category on the Pikes Peak International Hill Climb Road by reaching the finish line in 10:32.064.It delivers increased power of 666cv and sets the best weight-to-power reference in its segment with a new lightweight, aerodynamic design, chassis setup, and sporty driving dynamics with specific drive mode calibration, including the new Rally mode dedicated to the Performante version of the Urus. The Urus Performante delivers 850Nm of torque at 2,300rpm. It can accelerate from a standstill to 100 kph in just 3.3 seconds and has a top speed of 306kph.
Automobili Lamborghini went back to Rome and Vallelunga for the Urus Performante's driving debut. The original Urus made its dynamic debut there in 2018. At that time, it established the standard for a new category of Super SUVs and announced the delivery of more than 21,000 Urus units worldwide over the next four years, with more than 80% of the customers being new to the Lamborghini brand. Participating media and dealers also had their first glimpse at the newly unveiled Urus S, the Super SUV model that will replace the original Urus.
Guests in Vallelunga were also able to compare the new Urus Performante's upgraded features and performance on the racetrack. They were also able to test drive the Super SUV on a specially designed rally circuit to see how fun it is to drive and how well it handles slippery roads. The Urus Performante is equipped with Pirelli tires: P Zero for 20-inch, 22-inch, and 23-inch wheels, as well as a new, semi-slick P Zero Trofeo R option designed by Pirelli and Lamborghini specifically for the characteristics of SUVs.
The Urus Performante also visited famous sites and locations in Rome for photos and video, beginning with the Stadio dei Marmi, where 60 marble statues honor sporting prowess. It graced the opulent streets around Palazzo Fendi. The soft quarry surfaces of the most exclusive, pure, and coveted marble in the Cave di Travertino displayed the Urus Performante's true off-road capability.
The special historical Italian backdrop of Appia Antica, one of eight ancient routes from the most significant regions and ports that converge in Italy's capital, served as a final reminder that, on this occasion, “all roads lead to Rome” for the record-breaking Lamborghini Urus Performante Super SUV.
The Lamborghini Urus Performante features a superior styling that underlines the super sports engineering within. It features an edgy and prominent bonnet and bumper design that combines the super sports DNA with elegance. With the extensive use of composite materials, the Lamborghini Urus Performante is now the model with the highest number of carbon fiber parts in its segment.
On the inside, the Lamborghini Urus Performante comes with a Nero Cosmus black Alcantara cockpit, a new hexagonal seat stitching design, and the Performante trim. Dedicated color and trim options include extension of the Performante trim on doors, roof lining, seat backrests, and rear wall. Additional Ad Personam customization options include interior matte carbon fiber accents, red door handles, and a customized kickplate with the Ad Personam emblem.
The weight is reduced by 47kg and aerodynamic efficiency is improved and overall downforce is increased by 8%.
The driver can choose among the re-engineered drive modes: Strada, Sport, Corsa, and Rally.
The Lamborghini Urus Performante is priced at $260,676 (approximately P15.3 million). Deliveries will begin by the end of 2022.
