Mazda CX-4 to Mark World Premiere at 2016 Beijing Motor Show

MANILA: With the 2016 Beijing Motor Show lined up to open its gates next month, Mazda Motors has officially confirmed that it would be showcasing the highly awaited Mazda CX-4 at its booth in the show. This Mazda crossover SUV is being touted as the production model of the Mazda Koeru concept, that was first showcased at the 2015 Frankfurt Motor Show.

Mazda Philippines is currently on a roll, as the company is planning to expand its footprint in the country. Recently, the Japanese automaker has opened a new Mazda dealership in Pulilan, in order to provide sales, service and spare parts related requirements of customers in the Bulacan province.

While showcasing the Koeru Concept, company officials had claimed that the production version of this Mazda Concept would be slotted nearby the Mazda CX-5. As a result, the manufacturer's plans to introduce it under the CX-4 moniker, which seems justified.

The Mazda CX-4 has also been repeatedly spotted testing in China, adorning a huge camouflage. Though design elements of the CX-4 were disguised by thick camouflage, spyshots reveal apparent inspiration from the Koeru concept. Dimensionally, the Koeru was 4600 mm long and 1900 mm wide, while its was scaled at 1500 mm. The spied avatar too, adorn similar dimensions, and appeared to be sized in the CX-5's territory. Moreover, it will feature the company's SKYACTIV engine technology, and will be designed in-line with the KODO design philosophy.

In addition to the CX-4, other Mazda cars that will be showcased at the Beijing Motor Show include the new Mazda 3, Mazda 6, CX-5, and race car models from the MZ Ruisi Racing team, of which Mazda is an official sponsor.
