Mercedes-Benz, Amazon, Audible team up for exciting audiobook experience
MANILA: Mercedes-Benz revealed that it has collaborated with Audible and Amazon Music to usher in a new and exciting chapter of in-car storytelling and music listening.

Mercedes-Benz customers can listen to Audible and Amazon Music content with immersive Dolby Atmos through the Burmester 4D and 3D Surround Sound System available on the brand's vehicles.According to the German carmaker, owners of compatible Mercedes-Benz vehicles will soon be able to use Dolby Atmos to immerse themselves in audio storytelling in addition to music.
“This collaboration with Audible and Amazon Music is another important facet of digital experience in a Mercedes-Benz. Immersive audio storytelling enables our customers to benefit fully from the advanced sound technology in our vehicles. For us, unparalleled in-car entertainment is a further dimension of the hyper-personalized user experience,” Mercedes-Benz Group Chief Technology Officer and Member of the Board of Management Markus Schäfer said.
Through the said collaboration, the immersive Dolby Atmos audio experience will be integrated into the Burmester 4D and 3D Surround Sound System — both of which are offered as available options in Mercedes-Benz vehicles with the latest MBUX infotainment system.
By incorporating Audible and Amazon Music apps in MBUX, customers and Mercedes-Benz owners with a subscription to these providers can get immediate access to a continuously growing choice of audiobooks, original content, podcasts, and music in Dolby Atmos.
In addition, Audible and Amazon subscribers will also have access to the entire catalog of each respective streaming service.

Global rollout of the said collaboration between the brands is expected to begin in the third quarter of 2024.
