MG PH sales surge by 85% in 2021, 2 new models expected in 1st sem

MANILA: MG Philippines has recorded an 85% sales increase in 2021, moving a total of 6,343 units. In the fourth quarter alone, the company recorded over 2,000 in sales, making it the brand’s strongest sales quarter in 2021.

The MG ZS led the brand’s sales growth, moving a total of 4,158 units — 117% higher versus 2020. It was followed by the MG 5, which moved a total of 2,013 units — 85% higher versus the previous year.

MG Philippines vows to continue adapting and growing this 2022 by introducing exciting new models and more value-added after-sales services. The company will also continue to expand the brand’s dealership network in the country so that more Filipinos can easily purchase their own MG.

The Covenant Car Company, Inc. President and CEO Atty. Alberto Arcilla said, “MG Philippines is excited to share that we will have two dynamic product launches in the first semester of 2022 that will expectedly delight the local motoring public. These all-new models will participate in competitive vehicle segments and are expected to exponentially increase the brand appreciation and sales of MG.”
