The N models that joined the local Hyundai lineup are the Elantra N and Ioniq 5 N.N is the Korean automaker’s high-performance sub-brand that involves cars, technologies, and motorsports activities. Product of the “rolling lab” under Hyundai’s Racing Midship project, the N is founded upon three pillars namely Corner Rascal, Everyday Sports Car, and Racetrack Capability.
Per HMPH, the brainstorming and testing grounds then act as the bridge from tracks to roads, from race cars to production models. The company also shared that the creation of N is to harness Hyundai’s heritage and experience in racing and rallying into road-going cars to bring back the thrill of driving.

To recall, the Elantra was once made available to the local market under the previous distributor Hyundai Asia Resources Incorporated (HARI) while the Ioniq 5 is under the current offerings of the new local arm.
